Welcome To The Trademarked Month O Love

Sleeping in on a very rainy Saturday is very wonderoumous in several ways.  For one I do not get to sleep in very much it seems.  With morning work, three kiddos, and two dogs with weak bladders and such.  And although I do miss the tips from work, I could get used to guzzling coffee at 11 and watching my cartoons while eating Fruit Loops.  Plus we just got our taxes back yesterday---so although making tips is still essential --it's not as important.  The top reason I enjoy not going to work--- is that it is pouring rain outside.  I have talked about this before, but Arizona residents turn into bumbling idiots when it is raining outside.  And my long commute turns even longer  unless there is straight out sunshine outside.  Yes it was raining very hard last night, while I attempted to drive home---but it was not raining hard enough that I should have been driving at a very comfortable  but annoying top speed of 25 MPH on the highway!

Hopefully things slow down just a little bit around our house this month.  Because last month beyond flew by for us.  And we really did not seem to get much accomplished.  Accept for already getting our taxes back, which I might have already mentioned.  This is officially February  and although I love my wife more and more with every passing day, I hate V D Day.  I am much more excited about March.  Our three year marriage anniversary some how.  I recently got an award or two at work, and one of the perks beyond a big self supplied pat on the back, was a $50 certificate good for food at any outlet in the casino.  We are going to stay the night in one of the extra fine rooms and have a good old time enjoying having no kiddos or dogs around.

We also really love coffee!!

Good times!

Up hill both ways to school!
At least she is happy about sharing this information.
Next time you feel old, just look at this picture, and you will feel betterer.

Work won't let me wear my extra special helmet at work.
Love the look on this creatures face.
I kind of have this look before coffee each morning.

My third and newest blog page is picture filled Exploring of
amazing Arizona.
Please check it out and share if you enjoy what you see

Tomorrow is the big game.
Just down the road in the Phoenix area.
The players flew in about a week ago.
Although it would be amazing to be at the game I am sure the town is a mess.
The town is always a mess, big games or not.
Years ago when we lived closer to Phoenix  I would do anything possible to drive around the town.
And recall many hours of sitting in the heat in gridlock traffic.

Just change this to a Patriots jersey and
Go Seahawks!!

The Elf On A Shelf
came down for one last delivery.

With weed legal in Washington state
fans here in Arizona and in Washington should be prepared for drunk and
more than happy fans across the board.
One distributor in the rainy state has prepped 22 000 special joints   that favor the Seahawks.

1/28/2015 Yo! Time For A Laugh Or Three.

A mighty hello  to everyone reading this page!!  If you like this page you will love my third and newest attempt at writing.   Filled with pictures and Exploring from across amazing Arizona.  Lots of posts and pictures in the works for this page, all of which wish to be shared!!

**" My wife  just remodeled our living room and Mr Butch just looks lost. ;) "**----
My amazing wife likes to remodel and I am good at finding new furniture.  New to us anyway.  I believe we are on our 9th couch set.  And for those of you that don't know--Butch is our Pit Bull dog.  He will get used to things very soon.  But right now he just seems to stand in the middle of the room and stare.   Like he has lost the couch.

**"Do regular dogs ever see a police dog working, and think "O sh*t it's the police!?"**

**"Sometimes I want to ask the pharmacist if he can make it a double!"**

Picture I took behind a park in the heart of Tucson.
Looks like it could be a post card for sure.

Being lost in Tucson when you are on a time line is not enjoyable Exploring. So no new pictures today. ;( Jumping on a city bus --just to see where it goes---enjoyable. Maybe next trip.---Or the new tram system in Tucson.   Although it does not go to many places  so I don't see how I could get too lost.   Seattle has an amazing tram system--with great rates.  But I have not yet had time to use the local one here in Arizona.

Exploring The Space Needle at night. In the hometown of the winners of Sundays Super Bowl.

Flashback to last years Super Bowl.

More deep quotes and thoughts in every blog post

    Mmmmmm Coffee!

    True story!

Please plant more trees   so that I can cut them down and stay warm.

Today's Exploring picture comes from Cable's store. Where are you Exploring today>??  "Ummmm, don't look behind you!"  This is an older picture, I try to keep the pictures of the day more up to date.  But I was scrolling and came across this one.

Picture I snapped in the heart of Bellingham, WA
where in the winter the sun is a rare sight for sure.
I have done decided--and if you read this page,
you have read about for sure
that NO ONE in Arizona can drive
unless they have full on complete non inhibited sunshine!

Short & Simple

Hello!   So our youngest turns 11 today!  So many comments and thoughts on this, but they mainly just lead to me being old.  So I will refrain from bringing up any of them.  It is a great day for sure--although his actual sleep over party will be delayed until the weekend.  When the parties do not have to get up early to go to school.

If you enjoy anything on this page or on any of my blog pages,
or you just really want to complain about something you saw here  please check out my
Facebook page--now open 25 hours a day for your convienence!

My pictures and thoughts and jokes appear on this page first.
And the Facebook page would like to see many more "Likes!"

The other day we celebrated Marian Luther King Day.
Well you may have celebrated, I worked.
I believe he would be proud of the above statement.

In case you missed it---like I did
The President made yet another state of the union address last night.

If you can find a recording of the speech you can try this game over and over.

Higher Tucson Exploring

**Another great post first published in my newest blog series all about Exploring Arizona and all the state has to offer!    Please check them all out at

A hearty hello to everyone that visits this page!   I am working on tons of new posts, pictures, and features for this page.  For much more Exploring please check out my first blog page at     I fully intend to start to attempt to sell some of my better pictures as frameable greeting cards.  I was hoping that things would slow down a little bit at the beginning of this new year.  But in our life things might actually be going at an even faster speed some how.  When I get the photo page up I will share it for sure!

On this day the temperatures were perfect.  Especially for mid January.  In fact I was just bragging to my family back home in Wyoming about Exploring on this day, in my shorts!  And NO I was not just wearing shorts and nothing else, thanks for asking.  I found myself in the hills near where I work-- Casino Del Sol.  The above shot is actually from up on one of the mountain tops greatly zoomed in.  If you take I-19 South and exit onto Valencia than head to the right, opposite the airport you will eventually pass this area.   I actually started roaming very close to the casino.  At the stop light that takes you to The Casino Of The Sun, I took a right.   I do not know road names or the names of the great hills I was Exploring in on this day, sorry.  I noticed a sign that said "to speaks trail."   And thought I would find a neat trail through the desert that wander around the mountains also.   All I found was lot of houses.  I am now pretty sure that Speaks Trail, was the name of one or two of the property owners, not a neat trail to check out.   In any case I back tracked back down Valencia to the QT gas station.  And took a left at the stop light.  Just before the road dead ended I parked across from the fenced in power station.  Grabbed my water bottle and took up a dirt trail to roam.

Looking back towards Valencia.
It always seems that the best trails lead straight up.
Sometimes straight up in both directions  coming and going.

On this day the clouds could not decide what they are doing.
The sky went from all on sunshine to cloudy and back again multiple times.
I do believe I saw a little bit of rain before the day was done.

Sweating out some sweat felt good.
Although all of the climbing quickly reminded me how I am not in the best of shape anymore.

                                                        Some of the surrounding hills.

I soon was not sure if I was on an actual trial or a water run off.

Near the top!

I found this flower or weed thriving way up in the face of this mountain side.
Proof that with a will one can survive any where.

This rock ridge makes for a great break in the city scape down below.

Watch that first step!

From the top  again looking towards Valencia.

Greatly zoomed in view of downtown Tucson.
I enjoyed the view for quiet awhile.
Mainly while I was catching my breath again.
Fair warning, there is a large school below the hills---so roaming on that side of the mountain
with a camera might seem creepy.

When I returned to my car it was still early in the day and I realized that I have never ventured
down Valencia past the casino.
I needed some more quiet road time  so kept driving.
I took the above picture while driving.
Something I do not recommend attempting at all.

I soon came to Ryan's Airfield.
Where I had to snap this shot  that just screams Arizona.

At some point I ended up by Tucson Mountain
and was in the park.
Another place I have never been before.

So many trails  So little time!!

My butt was tired of sitting in the car, but my legs kind of enjoyed the sitting action.
My butt won out, and I took off down an actual trail.
Above a deserted walking stick lies in wait for the next smaller hiker.

Please  write that down!

This trail soon decided it wanted to venture uphill so I headed back to the car.

A short distance down a very curvy road I came to Old Tucson.

To me it looked an awful lot like Tombstone, but much more expensive.
I did wander through the gift shop though.

I realize that this town is all about reenactments and such  but
it still kind of bugged me to see this sign outside of Old Tucson.
I mean isn't the gun what won the old west??

Tomorrow I am off to find another trail and some more pictures of course!

As Always
