Are We Inching Closer To My Day O Birth?

And a grand good afternoon to y'all!!   Yesterday much of the area lost power in the afternoon.   At least out here it was starting to cool off, and threaten to storm, so it was not life threateningly hot.  The company restored power very quickly although there online page said it could take hours.   Earlier in the day this could have been a very bad thing, here in the desert.  We have pre pay electric---kind of like the cell phone cards.   Years ago I heard about this for the first time and thought it was a joke.   Anyways you kind of guess how much electric you think you will use in the month or how much you can afford, and when you are starting to run low---the company contacts you.   With the old system--a unit in your house started to light up when you were running low and you can buy more power at a grocery store.  Here we live in the middle of no where--and the company notifies your cell phone when it is about to run out.    Unfortunately our notification goes to an old phone number.   So the power just gets shut off.   I thought that was what happened at first yesterday.   But it was still with in business hours, and calling the electric company was not an option.   The phone was fully busy.   Like the whole county was trying to call them.   And in reality -they probably were.   A some what nice storm rolled in, cooling the desert off, but again with little rain.   Monsoon season is my favorite time of the year in the desert.  And as I have been saying, this has been a very disappointing year for that.   Although the lighting storm late last night was beyond amazing!   Almost constant flashes all around us for a good hour.   With almost 0 thunder to scare the puppies.    And almost 0 rain for us----someone must of got hit hard in the storm though.

Right now I am attempting to go in 45 directions at once-so my blog pages are not seeing much new materiel.     I hope to change that soon in my Exploring Amazing Arizona blog page very soon!     I have tons of pictures and Exploring backed up to share.   There are already over 100 picture filled entries to look at.   So please check out the page   and share!!

Possibly all I actually need----is a big fire in the expandly deeper hole in the ground--
errrr fire pit.
I do believe there has been enough rain -to allow this.

Just sayin'

And I have the plunger!
You can decide if I cleaned it off first.  As Im sticking my horn in your face.  ';)

Possibly the deepest thing in this entire blog post today.
Maybe all week.    The week is young.

Fingers crossed our vehicle gets fixed tomorrow    I can find a puppy sitter and do it my way and hit the highway!!

July 20th 2018

Hello all!   As I hold my coffee cup into the air to cheers with you!   If you are also not enjoying some coffee--I am sorry for you.  ;)    This is only my 2nd post this month---and again I had such good intentions of so many more blog posts.  Although I often wonder how many posts I can actually put on this page.  The storage must be amazing here.   Especially for a free sight.  But July has been a super crazy month.   All around.  And I have not shared so much.   Still am not going to today.   I think last year was the fastest year I have ever experienced, and maybe the crummiest for bad luck and such.   Until this year---wow.   I realize things make you stronger and one can find happiness anywhere --but while your finding the dream, wholly cow its horrible.   And if you find out along the way that your suddenly doing it all on your own, no matter how many people you have been helping---well more power to you.   Mostly for your not going postal.     My Exploring hikes and these blog posts are my therapy.     And with our car not running   at the moment--I better start posting a lot more!    To bad for you all!

My Exploring Arizona blog page has also been neglected.   But I feel that if I had many more readers venture to that page, it would inspire me to start posting!    Please check it out and leave comments.

This is actually Exploring in Sheridan Wyoming   years ago.
During the rodeo parade I do believe.
In front of the old Artic Circle

OK   Also in Sheridan.
I just came across this picture   float in the big parade.
I worked at this JB's several times through the years.
And like most of the locations around the country ---this one has shut down.
JB's litarly stands for   Just Better===which must have resulted in an amazing group of commercials back in the day.
I do believe there is still one of these restaurants in Kingman Arizona.    I know there was years ago when we lived there, and they would not hire me for crap.

True story!

After all Toys R Us stores closed--I have often been told to put down being a manager at that store on my resume---because how are they going to prove this right or wrong?

**"Why can't auto loans have a pay your age month???"**--- I am not sure if everyone read about Build a Bears last stunt.   You could build your own bear and pay your age at the register.  If you have never seen there prices, you might not realize how great a deal this could be for parents with younger kiddos.   Allot of people realized.   To many in fact.   Across the country lines grew so huge that they claimed safety issues and stopped the deal.  Angering thousands of people.   Now on your birthday---you can get a special bear and pay your age.   And places all over---are trying similar deals.

Our puppies puppy growing up!
We are puppy sitting at the moment.   I guess that's not really fair when it's one of the puppies from our dogs.   I try to refrain from calling them puppies since they are parents now.

Off the front porch yesterday.
Brought in some welcome rain
This 100 plus degrees is not agreeing with me.
Especially since we just have fans this intense summer.
It is always described as a dry heat
but it has been a very dry monsoon season so far this year.

July 2nd Almost Exploding Christmas!

Hello all this fine 2nd of July!     And we all know what that means right?   That it is almost time for Exploding Christmas!! Or the fourth   whatever you lame people wish to call it.  I have noticed- and wish to share this great knowledge here with you--that the best fireworks come from guys with an eye patch and a few fingers missing.   Just sayin'    It is way to dry around here to shoot off any fireworks of our own.  But for the first time since we have lived here--I do believe we are going to make it to the casino show tomorrow night.   This little town of Benson puts on a great 4th with activities all day, but I will be at work before the fireworks show starts.  I do work up on the hill now though, so maybe can stare at some out the windows?  I doubt we will be super busy during the actual fireworks show.   After one day at work, with out telling to much, I can say I already miss the daily tip money.  It has also been forever since I have only worked for minim wage, like maybe since retail daze.  I am also trying to keep it kind of quiet were I am working.  But this is a super small town, and one of the towns biggest loud mouths --a real honor in Benson, cause there's a lot vying for they rank, was in last night and saw me at work   so I am sure the town will know by tonight.  ;)  It being July it also means that there are some great birthdays coming up.   Including my moms and our oldest turning 18.  Although he will not be home or even in the same state on his birthday.  I would also announce that my birthday is this month, but I am turning 40 and am skipping this year.  Bah Hum Bug!
