Happy Spring Y'all!

Hello this fine day!   Guess what----It is hot here in the desert!   I am sitting here typing this in from of a box fan and guzzling water.   I know I know  ---"Welcome to Arizona!"   Something similar -with a different state ending I used to yell at people in Wyoming, when it snowed---especially if it was snow in the winter.   Even if it was snow in July.   And yes that does happen--up in the Rockie Mountains.     Wait for it------"Welcome to Wyoming!!!"   ;)   Although as I look out the window  I do see some clouds forming---probably not rain producing   but they cool things off at any rate.   Not that rain would not be great also.  A nice cooling bit of big rain drops to run around in for a bit.   But until monsoon season hits, the rains usually follow the mountains and fully circle around us.   Especially it seems when everything is on fire.

The most beautiful bad ass person I know turns 28 again tomorrow! I love you forever and a day!---A true lady never turns older than 28 I have been told.

Ahhh Magic 8 Ball-----why do you keep saying "outlook hazy" and "tilt!" I really need you now!

In front of one of the motels--actually the whole property is nice.

Another coffee fueled trip of course!
And yes I picked up the coffee cup--after this shot.
I have actually gotten flax about such pictures---but I always pick up the cups---if they are empty of coffee or not.   They usually are not empty.
Just after I took this picture a lone coyote crossed about 350 in front of me.

Just before my recent big road trip I snuck off for a quick Exploring hike here in town while I probably should have been packing.  I only took a backpack of items on my road trip, and I really needed to clear my mind in the desert on this day it seems!  I have been to this area before with the kiddos---in fact there is a past Exploring blog post all about it, but we could not stay long because we ran into a band of hobo's hunkered down in the old mostly abandoned buildings.   No squatters on this day, and no kids with me, so I had time to get some more pictures.  Not that I don't always get lots of pictures for my posts!   I would like to say this will be a short post---but I have said that before, and than they always seem to greatly expand once the pictures and explanations are written.   This is still not the post I was planning on doing next   but at this point I am just happy to be posting!    Please look through this page I now have 100+ picture filled Exploring blogs mostly around Amazing Arizona!

Empty and old buildings have always drawn me.
Like I said you kind of have to watch out for squatters.   And steep around
broken beer bottles and such if you go in any such buildings.
But on this day -no people were around.

Several neat buildings on this sight and what looks like an old junk dumping spot.
And the old trees snarled all around.

Main house
Not sure how lucky that horse shoe was

Kind of elegant prose usually saved for bathroom stalls!

Time for a bit more trail

Over the rail road track

I still believe this is one of the best sights on an extra hot or summer day!

Few warning signs

Followed a dry run off for a little bit.
That red metal in the back ground is a car door.

Have you seen The Thing?
There is a blog about it on this very blog page!
I have heard they are changing and updating the whole museum/tourist trap.
So maybe you have not seen the thing---what will be the new thing.

Back were I parked

A little bit later back at the homestead in
ST David Arizona.

So to find the above pictures for tonight's post---I came across this one from my recent road trip.
Some where in the middle of Montana we saw this photo opp.
A lot could be said about this picture
But it is easily one of my favorites from the trip!

Today Blows-Read My Random Rambling!

Hello this fine morning!   At least for the moment -the heavy winds has blown over us.   Giving way for it to just be hot today---it is still early in the day, but can tell it is going to be a hot one.  But at the moment it is still chilly enough I can enjoy my coffee without sweating!  When I lived in my small apartment up here  with good A/C---not much else worked well or worked at all, and the pool seemed to pretty much be closed as soon as it became spring time on the calender----anyways I used to debate, with myself if I was crazy smart or just plain crazy for cranking my air conditioner and sitting in front of it -while enjoying my morning coffee.   So that the hot coffee did not over heat me to much, even if I crawled out of bed later in the day.   I have not lived there for over a year now, and I am still debating with myself how smart the concept was.   ;)   I can confirm that heat makes people angry---even if they say they love the heat!  And that it seems to also effect the crazy level in people.   Although it could always be argued that anyone that chooses reside in this intense heat is already flat out crazy.

My Exploring Arizona blog page has been getting lots of views and new posts.   Please roam around the very picture filled page and tell me what you think!

**The best nicknames are the ones people do not know they even have!**---We call them code names.   And at one Wally World I worked at in the past--we had a two page list of code names.  In fact many times I used to forget the persons real name.   Still do sometimes, when I try to look them up on Facebook or similar sights --and try to look them up under something like "Vegas Dude" instead of Frank.

I really enjoy my quote section and search far and wide for such quotes.  Almost every blog post here has at least a couple such bits of inspiration.  Read my old posts and collect them all!    You will also notice how much I bring up coffee ---pretty much in every blog post it seems.   But I might like my coffee!   ;)   Most of the time it is my best friend.

Cheers!!

If your not from Wyoming ---you might not enjoy this as much as I did.
But read away please!

The more you know!
