9/25/2015

Good afternoon!  For those of you that missed the memo---there is supposed to be a lunar eclipse Sunday night over a super moon.   I will be at work during the peak of this, but will try and sneak out and get a glance or two at it.  Right now from local fairs to carnivals  all of the neatest things seem to happening when I am at work.  Maybe because I am always at work.  That's not true--sometimes I post here--sleep--drink lots of coffee and or play parent.  ;) With my college classes now thrown into the mix.  And a bunch of nonsense mandatory work meetings thrown into the mix of the holidaze shuffle --I don't know if I want to play adult anymore.  Hopefully through all of this the things that matter most won't have to suffer to much.   In fact they may even suffer less, because I will be home even less.  ;)

Found him!   Also work with him! Don't believe me----you try and find a manager when it's time to clock out....

Where are you Exploring today? http://exarizonagobensonbobcats.blogspot.com

How many times a day do you find yourself thinking this?

I have posted the above before
I just find it overly amusing.

With fall   some relief in the heat!
Some is the key word   we still live in the desert.
At least it cools down quit nice at night now.

Today's Exploring picture of the day
comes from about two blocks from our house.
This is last years fall picture.
I don't believe anything local has started to change color.
I am also finding it hard to believe it is fall time.
I think it is great we can see a splash of color with out driving to the other side of the state.
Places like Flagstaff get the amazing wild flower show and leave changing show.
Although I have not gotten to witness either in person.

9/23/2015

Hello everyone!   I am typing this blog up while I am trying to get motivated for work tonight.  It is a concert night---it is also a Wednesday night.  Since the concert is Ricky Martin I did not really think it would be that busy.  But I learned last night--that the concert has fully sold out.  Plus it is wine Wednesday   -were the more you gamble, the more "free" bottles of wine you get.   So we should be packed all night long.  It is also my Monday   so am in that Monday slump, don't want to work thing to.  But hopefully the big tips will motivate me into being a real worker fast.  Again I am not really having a good week---in all aspects of things.  And finding it is very hard to fake a good mood to customers.  The same can be said when I get off work and return home.  Neither place wants to hear about your issues or gives a rats as* about your problems.  Luckily I have a long commute to attempt to clear my head.

My best mine clearing method.
Exploring and taking pictures.
Sadly I have not been doing near enough of either over the last few months.

I still have my local Facebook page basically closed down because of how negative many of my posts went several weeks ago.  People here are brutal   but the posts should have never had anything to do with my family of my wife.   Anyways, I am the only one that can post on my page right now, and it is greatly ticking off a lot of people.
Oddly enough since the page has been mostly closed, I have gained 30 new members.
I believe I will open the page back up fully tonight after work--well early tomorrow AM.  But we will see.   Each day I elude that I will open it up   and than don't.
Hopefully when I do open the page again  I wont regret it quickly.

Just add "anti Christ to this
And the election choices are the same coming up!

This is a great April Fools day post
but applies any day of the year.

Today's Exploring picture of the day
comes all the way from Main Street Sheridan Wyoming.
This bar always makes for great pictures--inside and out
but I just happened to be passing on fine day when this old car was parked right out front.

**"If you think the wedding ring is the problem--you don't understand gay do you!?"**---"Baby Daddy"

Not enjoying the DMV today. although I do believe I am getting a contact high just from the people beside me. good times!---  Yesterday was a long and expensive day at the DMV again.

$1200+ in food sales on a Sunday night. Wow. Sales are up--tips are great. No one wants to come to work. Last night my hrs. were expanded because one of the workers came in--went on an extended lunch break --and than decided they were sick and went home. Luckily I am easily persuaded to stay longer--by free food. 10 oz steak dinner for me last night! --Still really not sure why that Sunday night was so busy.  But the tips were good!  To put it in comparison Saturday night was a concert night and we were again short handed.  I did almost $1700  in sales on the concert night.  Tomorrow night is the Ricky Martin concert at work.  Apparently lots of people are stuck in the 80's  because the concert sold out.   --I hope all the concert goers bring there big tip wallets.  On the same thought line, I had orientation for my classes earlier tonight.  Looks like it will be fun.  Although now we all know were I will be every Tuesday night.   And umm homework---  lol

So Joseph and I were just down the road in Mescal a few days ago--we got stopped by a sheriff. Apparently a car full of illegals drove into a local home and the occupants scattered through the desert. Anyway, before we got out of the area, the whole small town was full of boarder patrol agents and police. For some reason I really wanted to drive around yelling "O yeah Pepe!' But restrained myself. Never a dull moment here in "Little Mexico!"

Hello all!   Just had to make a few posts that I have not yet gotten onto this page - from the last week or so.   I hope everyone is enjoying my Exploring Arizona page and all it has to offer!?  http://exarizonagobensonbobcats.blogspot.com/
I missed out on a huge opportunity the other day--by not realizing that the post I was writing marked my 666th post--until I had posted it.  And the system totaled this for me.  O well maybe next time this page hits a big milestone I will catch it sooner.  But that simply means that this is post # 668!  Again making me pause to wonder why people still read this page.

I know most of my readers are very alert about news and such
But I hope most of you missed the whole clock
causing the student to get expelled from school thing--because
it sure looked like a bomb.

Classic Christmas advertising.

Pretty much works on all of my pages.

I think this may well be one of my only posts I did not talk
about coffee.....
Whoops until now.

Another love of mine is having breakfast after midnight.
From cereal to a full blown meal.
I like to call the late night snack Brinner.

Wilcox Exploring Part II--- A Hike In The Hills

**Another great blog first published in my local Exploring Arizona page.  Part one of amazing Wilcox, Arizona.  Please check them all out and share the links with your friends if you enjoy!  http://exarizonagobensonbobcats.blogspot.com/ **

I really do enjoy Exploring and taking pictures.  And I find that the more of this I do the more I wish to do.  Long to do when I am sitting at home, or flustered at work.  Or when it is raining all day outside, like today.  Or just when it is sunny!  Arizona has some amazing trails and places to discover.   It also has more than it's share of sunny days.  I am busily working on taking more pictures and lots of posts and features for this very page!    So please keep coming back to see what is new.   For Exploring from all over please also check out my longest running blog page at www.wyomingjack.blogspot.com

It is rare that I visit an area where I feel a two part post is needed.  Even rarer still is that I post part two directly after the first post!   Wilcox was such a visit for me.  And I really hope you enjoyed the first post from Wilcox.  And shared the link with everyone you know.  Today -please join me as I venture up in the hills for a mind clearing, much needed hike.

All arrows point to great sights from here!
Down the dusty trail to Chiricahua National Monument.
Click back a page to read and see more about a great down town district.
Speaking of that I just read that the Rex Allen days
are coming up in Wilcox  so I think the whole family is going to Explore that.
Pictures to come of course.

Rex Allen    himself

Soon down the road I found myself lost in the beauty of it all.
This was a paved road, not dirt but still a great journey.
The hike was about 30 miles out of Wilcox
so I was soon in the middle of no where for sure!

Just across from the above water tower
I spotted this old family cemetery.
Cemetery's always fascinate me  although I am not sure why.
I found several on this day trip-but this is the only one I stopped to take pictures of.

Again the whole area was surrounded by mountains.
Not so normal, there were also lots of trees--water and rock formations.
I guess the area was recently hit by a devastating fire.  And many of the trees were lost.
But for someone that lives in the full on desert---it seemed like tons of trees survived to me.
The tree loss and general erosion also created flooding.
From what I read the park has just recently re opened.

A great place to start any hike here.

Magical shrooms on the trail?

I know for a fact they grown in Oregon.
Pretty whatever kind of mushrooms they may be.

Just behind this sign is a nice trail map and several picnic tables.
The water trickles down just to the left of this.
A very nice visitors center also is in this area.
Small but nice.

As is often the case
So many trails  So little time!

Also usually the case in Arizona, trails are very well maintained and groomed.

It was an over cast day --another rare factor.
But nice because the trail started to go up just out of the parking lot.
Yet another rare thing for me--I had an actual back pack with me
AND a packed lunch.

The further onward and up ward I traveled, the better the sights!
Although I did not travel to many miles on this fine day.

As in many trips in the last few weeks,
I was very impressed at how much green I saw.

Evidence of the fire and probably an amazing sight when the water was flowing.

Rocks   Rocks  every where!

I was fascinated to find that most if not all of the dead trees, had
something living and or growing all over them.

As always

**HAPPY TRAILS!!**
