Day 23 O Halloween!

Comic Con in Phoenix last year---just thought it was a festive picture.                                                      Comic Con is coming to Tucson for three daze next month and we are all going.   Pictures from the above trip are in my Exploring blog page of course.

**"Instant nice person----Just add coffee!"**----Please note this is not saying that I enjoy instant coffee in any way.  Except that the fact that it is fast.  Fast but nasty so not even worth the short wait to me.

                                                                                                                             **"I found coffee!   Wooooooo!"*
**"Stupid travels in groups--Don't believe me?  Visit your local Wally World Store!"**
True Story!                                                                                                                                                          Coffee shop window  down by the bay Bellingham, WA
Ending at the casino I work at -as I was leaving work a few nights back.   My favorite personal picture of the week   so far.

**Don't take pictures while your driving yo!--And certainly don't post them while driving.  Double whoops.  ;)           Coming into the big town of St David Arizona.                                                                                                                                                               Hello everyone!   I keep finding myself checking the calender to see if it really is October.  Because time seems to be flying so fast this year and because it is so warm outside.  It has been 90 or higher outside every day this week.  And although this is the desert it just doesn't seem right that I could be swimming in October.  I recall many a Halloween in Wyoming were all the college kids were stuck in town because of a huge snow storm closing all of the roads in and out.  But not stopping the trick or treating or the partying.  I do not really wish for that either ---although a huge store here would shut down pretty much the whole area---heck a few inches of snow does that here in Tucson.  But some cooler weather would be very nice.  I feel wrong running my air conditioner this time of year.   Thankfully it is finally cooling down very nicely at night time now.  I have been holding out on getting a costume this year, because I have no clue what to wear and because I would normally be off on Halloween by default.   I usually have Mondays off work.  But I had to change my schedule the last few weeks ---so I have no clue if I will be working or with the kiddos.  Just the fact that Halloween is on a Monday this year, shows how crummy 2016 really is.  ;)    I will still dress up if hangin' with the kids--but probably not put as much thought into it---like take extra pieces from everyone costumes and go with it.   At work, tips increase with a good costume and they have a costume contest--with cash prizes.

I usually can not stand these keep calm posters  but really seemed to like this one for some reason.  For what ever reason on Facebook recently I started adding people with the same first and last name as I.  I find it way more entertaining than most around me.  But I now have at least 40 Steven Adams friends on my list on Facebook.   :)
While looking for clothes the other day   I found my new hoodie!    Maybe it can be part of my Halloween costume!?   Anyways I believe everyone should have there own theme song   life song---and mine may very well be White and Nerdy by Weird Al
Another reason I had to juggle my work schedule around and find new clothes----on Wednesday I done graduated from my year long management certification class.  We do not officially get our certificates until Pima Collage graduates, but the casino put on a big catered banquet/open bar/ celebration.   More pictures and thoughts about all this in a very soon Exploring blog post.  I am stalling both because have been very busy and because they had a professional photographer running around and taking pictures and all of those pictures were sent to my Yahoo account.  An account I am still locked out of it seems.   I will post a couple of pictures here and than more VERY soon.

My wife and I clean up pretty spiffy when need be.

More pictures from this great night and much more in the works.

Day 18 Of Halloween!

October and really this whole season are great in my eyes for SO many reasons.  Fall colors, something I have not really got to see much of yet.  Cooler weather---even in the desert-although we are still waiting for that to kick in here in greater Tucson.  It was super hot outside yesterday --and supposed to reach 90 today by lunch time.  With the cooler weather drinking coffee is more social recognizable too.   We get to dress up and scare people---I have been practicing this for awhile now, by wearing my mask for about three months straight already.  ;)  The kiddos git lots of candy, and so do the adults---payment for driving them all around town.  And on the first of November all the holiday candy goes on sale---just in case your kids won't share or you need betterer bargaining odds.  We soon get our free turkey from work, last year we got a 25 pound Butterball turkey!   I get my holiday bonus from work soon, and Santa is about to deliver all that coal to me soon!   Last but not least -Halloween is my wife and my's un official 11 year anniversary.    Extra bonus this month, I am graduating from my management certification classes and the celebration catered banquet open bar turned date night is this Wednesday night.     Wahooo!   That last sentence was a mouth full for sure.
**"My wife and I were happy for 20 years, and than we met!"**
**"How come know it all's don't know how annoying they are?"**---I will ask myself and get back to you on that one.....

I thought about joining the neighborhood watch...
But my neighbors really arnt pretty enough to watch-----I live in apartments in the ghetto, so often compare people watching here, from my couch -looking out my front door to watching Sims the game.  Little bits and pieces of peoples lives, really not wishing to know more about any of them.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         **"The hacker was so disappointed in my bank account         ...He started a Go Fund Me page!"** ----True story!
**"I love my pillow, because it gives me different hair styles each and every morning!"**
**So just before work I was running some errands, and this young punk--like early 20's kid comes up to me in the Safeway parking lot asking for $ so that he and his girl friend could eat today. I was in my work outfit, and promptly told him that the casino was hiring for at least 40 positions right now---in fact I was heading there now, and would give him a ride up there, now to check out jobs! He promptly started cussing me out. Gotta love Tucson!---I find this more amusing than do most of the people I tell it too.  But just needed to share.  Cause sharing is caring.  YES  I have had times when I could not find a job---but I never just wanted a hand out.  And I NEVER had a time when I was not employed or able to support myself in my 20's.   Just sayin'
http://exarizonagobensonbobcats.blogspot.com/                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  I have been slacking on all of my blog pages--and am sorry for that.  But you the readers have not been slacking for sure!   All of my pages maintain a great reader ship with lots of views and comments.   And I thank you for that.   My newest Exploring page really enjoys the views.   I hope to update it a lot in the next few months and help the readership grow greatly on that sight also.   Please check out the above page and share the links if you enjoy!   Many more quotes and such also coming to this page for your enjoyment?   I also have a lot of new pictures and such for both pages----but do not have the energy right now to download them.
I try to stay out of politics talk at work and on my pages, but after noticing some key topics on our local ballot and reading the brain dead thoughts of a local Benson reader I had to share my thoughts    for what it's worth.

With the election and voting on all kinds of issues right around the corner I must put in my two cents here. First I don't care whom you vote for---everyone is welcome to your thoughts My thoughts and brain tell me that Hillary IS THE Antichrist but what do I know. As far as raising min wage in ANY state: OR and WA have the highest min wages in the lower 50 states in turn everything else is super expensive. The place in Benson AZ we used to pay 600 a month rent on... would have been 1200 in Washington. Raise wages and EVERYTHING else goes up. Small business cant afford to keep as many workers educate yourself and earn a real wage Just look at self check lanes--tablets at restaurant tables etc---VERY few jobs can't be replaced by machines if to many people think there dead end MC jobs are really worth $15 + an hour. Servers rely on tips---and usually way low wages, but if you know what your doing, you go home with bank. If min wage is raised so are the prices of food and people mainly will tip less. As far as weed---- years back Washington made all weed "legal" at the state level. But the federal government can still jump in and bust you or your supply store at any time. Also if you have any real job at all, and are caught doing legal recreational weed ---you will no longer have a job. On the same note in Seattle pot can be bought in vending machines across the city. When you walked around the casino I used to work at up there instead of smelling cigars, you smelled weed through the casino. I lived in Oregon for years, were pot is the state plant so I am not saying I am for or against use but in all matters think about all issues of the thing you are voting on. Not just the fact that it would be kool to smoke it up, and Circle K and munchies is very close to were you live
Last story for today---in the ongoing heck of renting these apartments.  My lease ends next month---and I am not renewing my lease.  I would rather get two refrigerator boxes on a street corner and call it a double wide.  Or put a box on a random shopping cart, and call it an RV  ;)   I also know that these apartments are going to attempt to charge me an amazingly high price on move out.  I mean my move in was only $150 total, and they are slum land lords it seems.   Anyways, my rent is due on the 3rd   I dropped a check on the 4th for the full rent amount.   Two daze later I got a notice -stating they would not take checks for late payments, although they have in the past -and that I owed a late fee.   They also would not return my check.   On the 8th---my wife, who is not on the lease, and the apartment managers have never meet---was waiting on my front porch for me to get  off of work.  The managers gave her a notice saying I owed late fee's and they were about to start the eviction process on me.   As I stated above --the managers have never meet my wife, and do not know her from a crack ho  waiting out front to break into my apartment.  PLUS she is not on my lease!   Two daze later I got a cashiers check from my bank for the full rent amount plus ONE day late fee----because once they took the personal check  and did not return it, my rent was not late anymore.   Yesterday I had several notices on my door saying I still owed late fees from the 4th on and that they were about to start the eviction process.  After much yelling   I did get my personal check back--yesterday, but it was already stamped to be put in the apartments bank account.   Strange since they would not accept the check as far as they told me.   Since I am moving next month anyway---I am not sure what evicitng me will do, because that court process will take longer than I will be residing here.     Of course I will keep posting about all this fun and how great these apartments are for months to come.

10/3/2016---Day Three Of Halloween!

Hello all this October morning!   It is still hard for me to type or wrap my brain around the fact that it is October.  For several reasons.  One--we live in the desert, and although it is finally cooler outside -especially at nights, it really never gets winter like here.  And by winter like, I mean Wyoming--were I grew up.  Almost every Halloween brought on a huge winter storm and you were not a real --stay out all night trick or treater unless your costume included a heavy winter coat in some way!  The only real way I can tell that Halloween is close -is to see all the Christmas decorations already up at Wally World.   We were wondering around the isles of this store last night, and four full Christmas isles are already up----usually this time of year only the village buildings are up----I love the holidaze---BUT  to soon, Mr Walton!
It is getting kool enough outside that I just completed an Exploring hike in the middle of no where AKA butt F Egypt or St David Arizona.  And did not get overly heated while on my Exploring walk about.  Pictures to come  very soon of course, on my Exploring Arizona blog page.   At the moment I am typing all this random rambling from the newly remolded Mc Donald's in Benson ---Another small almost village of a town.   Yeah it looks nice---but it seems that prices went up.  My coffee to fuel my writing here, is about 40 cents more than it used to be.  I guess they have to fund the remodel some how---Alllll those "burger" sales were not doing it.  I have to say I was impressed with our family visit to the local Denny's though---last night.  It was just a dessert run---but the service was very good.  Especially for the Benson location.   We have had MANY a run in with this newly remodeled store---We love Danny's and eat at them a lot in our travels.  But the one here usually leaves us wanting to punch the manager and a puke bucket.   On one trip I found a live bug in my french toast, and the server really didn't seem surprised at all, in fact he asked me if I knew what kind of bug it was.  I failed to bring my bug field guide to dinner with me that day, and was not sure.   No free meal offer, no rebate   no real anything from the manager on duty---- although when I brought all this up on local web sights, instead of fixing things---the manager invited me not to come back inside the restaurant.   ;)   I was unsure if this offer still stood   but no one asked to leave last night.   Cliff notes---this was the Denny's we know and love  and a great experience.   Defiantly not typical in any Benson restaurant or business.   Were most residents are more worried about finding more drugs and filling there Buddha Belly to the brim.  I have my own slogan for Benson--- Home of meth logic, you don't have to be a user to use it!  Because the people here like to argue, but they don't like to use logic when they talk.  And because people here like there Meth!   There loving it!
As far as super sized people in the desert---I have talked about this before.  Yes I am growing a large belly  because I like food!   But for how hot it is, I can not believe how many hugely fat people live here.  I am very skinny and still find myself sweating in the sun at all times.  Part of the "fun" in living in The Land Of The Sweating Sun!   Again my own logo for Arizona    I don't believe you will find it on the tourist flyers just yet.  Give it time.  I picture these large people sitting on the curb, panting --dripping in sweat so much so that they are making there own gravy!  While they discouragingly wait for an elderly person to get off the last available electric cart at Wally World.  WRONG!   disabled people and elderly never get a chance to use these carts, because to many big boned people are on the carts.  If after reading this paragraph you muttered  "MMmmmmmm human sweat gravy!" to yourself---I will wait by my mailbox for your hate mail.
Last thought for today--- Wooooooo!   A few daze back was National Coffee Day!   Just after drink a beer day or something equally as kool.  In our home every day is coffee day- but I was looking forward to roaming around collecting free coffee's.   Every year Starbucks gives away coffee ----and them giving away anything is rare --- I believe they even charge you to redeem there own gift cards.... I kid.   And if you live in a large city, you can bounce from location to location and soon be super coffee induced and only spending gas $.  This year the always stopped.  Basically no one gave away free coffee   not even the all might Starbucks.   BOOOOOOOOOOOOO!    Not even Mc Donald's.   Booooooooooo  what the heck---- coffee is basically ALL Starbucks is about and they could not give out a free Dinky Small coffee!?   On coffee's birthday     Starbucks was donationg a coffee tree for every coffee bought on that day.  Great way to keep things going---for there own Dam business.   The key bad word in the above sentence is bought---- You had to buy your coffee on National Coffee Day       Maybe I am the only one overly irked by all this.    Whatever!    Just Sayin'

10-2-2016 Day Two Of Halloween!

To soon?

Hello all this fine October day!   Yes I said October.  It is as crazy to type out as it is to say it seems.  And today is already the 2nd   which simply means that in two blinks of an eye it will be 2017 some how.  2016 went by amazingly quick but it also was not a good year  for the most part, so here is hoping for a great year next year, already.  Things are already starting to shape up for this to become a reality.  I have wheels again, so many things already became much easier to accomplish.  Like getting to work.  AND home after work!   Once I get things calmer I will also be taking lots of short road trips to Explore and take many pictures of course.  Check out the newest selections of this at my third and newest Exploring Arizona sight

Sometimes I like to call the physic hot line and ask them what I'm wearing. Can resting your cell phone on your junk. Give you cancer down there??
**"Smile it will only get worse!"**---some before work motivation for y'all!   At the moment I am off work the next two daze.  Meaning they have not attempted to call me in yet.  :)   On paper I am a part time worker, mainly because they do not want to pay me all the benefits full timers see.  But I work full time hours for sure.  In fact I was told last week to go home, because I was nearing over time pay---I kept asking how that could be since I was a part timer.  lol.  For awhile I kept working six day weeks.  This would be awesome early in the week, when I agreed to it, and than by the end of the work week--I would be beyond done---wishing to call off sick from work from works parking lot.                                                                                                                                                                                               Speaking of work ---the other day on our huge information board above the time clock, tells us what server is in what section, who did something important, what food we are out of, daily specials, etc---for those of us that never get the memos at work.   I have done decided that my managers shred my memo just before I receive it, and I don't have time to piece it back together, ain't no one have time for that----and just go at it full force, mostly in the dark.   **"Fake it till you Make it!"**---April Adams     I often tell customers That I do not even work at the restaurant, that I have found a work shirt, and I keep getting pay checks.  So it is win win!   When I have enough $ to buy a pitcher of beer--it is time for a break!   Most customers politely laugh --SOME look at me and my service to that point, and reply   "Yeah we can tell you don't actually work here"   instant sad face.         Anyways the other night someone had listed our ever changing soup of the day   as: Brown!
One more quick thought from work----I realize I work in a casino and people wish to eat quickly and git back to gambling, but as much as they do not wish to they are still interacting with the public when they stop in to eat.   The other day  at almost EVERY table   I would go up to the table and offer my greeting, ending with something like  "how are you this fine day!?   I keep this part short, because many of the customers are in a hurry.  Almost every table replied with a warm  "We want iced tea!"   I was not aware this was a feeling     Usually this does not bug me   because I do not necessarily like people either, but on this day it happened with 90% of the customers and kind of put me in a sour mood.  Maybe most of these people were greatly loosing cash in the machines or had some hidden battle they were fighting  but to not  even have time to return a hello, at almost every table was greatly annoying on this day.  Most of these customers still leave tips, so it really should not bug me.   I know.
I hate my loud ass neighbors. I do believe if they are outside my door at six AM yelling into there house at there kiddos again this morning im going to greet there yelling with an air horn tomorrow !! So many reasons im glad my lease is about up----It is almost like they do not realize they live in apartments

        .
We snuck away to the local home and garden show before I went to work yesterday.   Above is a very bad picture, but we won  two nice sized trees.  They are in the back seat of my pick up in this shot.  But they are each about 4 feet tall.  The local electric company was handing them out---and you had to sign an "adoption" paper basically stating that you would try not to kill it  and that you would not plant them near any power lines.   We have two acres in the middle of no where St David with nothing around so it did not seem like  an issue.  :)    Ill think about posting pictures of them planted   once I get off my butt and plant them.

Friday as I was actually leaving work before dark I had to snap a few shots.

On this day the rainbow led to the casino!
