Countdown Till A New Month!

So after putting up a post on my Exploring blog page earlier tonight  I find I am starting this very post about half an hour from midnight.   Tomorrow starts a new month.  Although I am so not ready and I am still not sure what happened to this month or even July for that matter.   PLEASE check out that other page.  FULL of pictures and Exploring from around Arizona.  I have been greatly upping the reader ship to that page.   http://exarizonagobensonbobcats.blogspot.com    I can see easier why people want to visit that very page, than this one.  But I am still very glad that so many of you read this page!

Where are you Exploring today??

So just lately the local school principal stepped down from her position.  Slowly the reasons why are coming out to the public.   Although this little town is good at holding it's secrets.  We have been learning more from other local papers than the one here  that usually is not even worth the paper it is printed on.  Something about her  the principal, and a 17 year old male football player   her husband, a local police officer was also involved and so was a booze.   Of course the town is full of stories.    Here is what I posted about it all earlier on my local page.  Hours ago actually, and I have to say I am very disappointed that no one wants to argue with me about it all.   O yes   before all this, over a year ago, this school was graded with an A plus ranking.  The best of the best.  The best in the area even.   Just had to add that in for my rambling to make more sense.

Not really a vent but some thoughts on Benson Schools. Please read all of this before you reply because I am in NO WAY dissing our great school system or any of the members of facility here. I will attempt to keep this short. Attempt is the key word. : First off and for most The Benson school's are nothing short but amazing! All three of our kids had a very hard go in there last school in Washington state, and they LOVE going to school here. I work in... Tucson 5 + days a week, but there is not enough money in the world to get us to pull our kids out of the local schools and move closer to Tucson. Our youngest has ODD and the teachers here actually get how to talk to him and to treat him like a person. I have been impressed with every teacher and worker I have meet at this school. And past alum seem to have learned a ton for sure. Here is my butt.... We are overly proud of an A+ ranking don't get me wrong, this is amazing. BUT the ranking is brought to us by the government. Should we really be proud of such a high ranking brought to us by the same people that are trying to ban the confederate flag for the wrong reasons and do not want you to smoke in your own car? Before you answer this take a 2nd look at the top nation leaders and those in our own community. Maybe those same officials that are setting the high standards are also training workers to disarm any wrong doings that might happen with students. Now don't go pulling your kids out of school. But instead of letting the school do ALL of the teaching the way they want it learned always continue education at home, on hikes, on the road at the gas pump==== help me figure out how much I will get back after giving the cashier 2 bucks for gas or how many miles per gallon our car really makes after daddy worked on the engine! Always teach them. And teach them to question everything. Now they don't need to be complete rebels any more than they need to be complete mindless rule following sheep. Maybe if they were to question things, workers in the school could not so easily take advantage of the students. NOW a few quick thoughts on the recent allegations on the Benson faculty member on students.....

It was getting kind of long for one Facebook post here  so I broke this one up ;)

....... I am not saying any worker touched any students BUT I know way back when When I used to get lots of traffic tickets I would NEVER willing turn in my licence/step down from driving That would mean in my eyes and the laws, that I was guilty. I fought all the tickets in court until the bitter end, when I had so many traffic tickets I had to give up my driving licence. On a similar note, when we lived in Queen Creek AZ many years ago the local Principal got picked up by the FBI for images on his computers. Did we know he was guilty? Nope, did we keep the kids in the school long enough to find out Hell no! Just guessing he had committed a number of crimes at that school and others before he got busted by the FBI. Does the FBI knock down the doors of any old principal? Is this the first time the local faculty member has done something like this? Since she was working with her husband a cop and contributing booze also, probably not. IF we allow this whole thing to be swept under the already full Benson rug than we are in sense allowing her to move on with more experience in what not to do in the future in another small town full of kids. But what do I know

If I actually get any thought provoking responses to all of this I will post them on this very page!    I know I posted about the A school ranking in the past and got blasted for days on end about how I was  making fun of the school.   Nope  just our government.

8/30/2015

Hello all!   I am sitting on our car port watching another storm roll  into the area.  The monsoon storms can be equally as cooling, as amazing.  Although some times the winds and such get very nasty and everyone retreats into the safety of the house.  This is not always true either it seems.  A big storm came through last week and one of our big windows blew in and shattered all through the house.   This post has takin' me awhile  because I have been sipping coffee and arguing with idiots on another local page of mine on Facebook.  More of this will slip into a future blog post I am sure.  My work schedule keeps changing  although it usually includes Monday's off work.  We are so short on workers right now, that the new schedule does not seem to be posted until the day the old schedule expires.   So I was very happy to learn upon arriving at work last night, that last night was my Friday!

**Bragging your a big shot in Benson Arizona is like braggin' about being Obama's cousin. Unless you sell lots of drugs of course. **

**"You are never to old to learn something     stupid!"**

**"Why is there always money for war  but never for education?"**---I am not going to turn this post into anything political today  but a good question for sure.   All I wish to say right now is it appears to me that Trumps hair is actually alive!

                                            **"My blood type   is coffee!"**

Happy Valley Water Fall

Welcome back!    As always for more Exploring, adventure, and coffee love   please check out my first and longest running blog page  at:     www.wyomingjack.blogspot.com.       In fact I posted a blog post on that page earlier this morning.
This very page is  in seek of more readers.  I am very happy to report that my last post on ST David already has 100 views!   Please share this page   and keep the views coming.  I have a ton of new pictures and posts in the works!

Last week I learned that there was a waterfall close to us.  We lived in Washington state before moving here, and I am still getting used to not seeing water every where I turn.  Including constantly falling from the sky!  We have been here three years now, and I find myself still getting used to it.  That said, any time my desert Exploring takes me to water, I take lots of pictures.  I also recently heard there is a lake in Wilcox, so that is now on my Exploring list of to do's.  I wish to learn for certain if a lake is this close to us, or if it is more like a drainage pond.

On this day I decided to venture out to the waterfall.   I had hoped that the recent storms would make it really flowing.  But found a small trickle.   Possibly a good thing because our truck with four wheel drive is back in the shop.  This is mostly down a dirt road and I am not sure our little pickup could have gotten me home, if a big storm came through.  With the wash board roads and run offs.   Although this dirt road starts off very very well maintained.  And maybe even smother than the near by section of I-10.

Neat cloud shot from our front yard before venturing out to Explore.

To get here, especially after a heavy rainfall, just jump on I-10 heading to Tucson and get off on the Mescal  J-6 exit
you than turn right.  And just keep going.
Near the exit off ramp is a very nice little store with gas.
And a bar or two.
I have not yet ventured to either bar  but they might be a great stop after my next
trip to the waterfall.

Right about these old buildings  this turns into a dirt road.

Turns out these buildings are movie props.
The whole area being part of Old Tucson studios.
The road is blocked off and has many do not enter signs.
It also turns out I some times choose not to read to well, and ventured a little closer.

It also turns out that there are care takers that live on the set.
So this is as close as I got to any of the buildings.
I than was being watched by several people and made a quick exit to my truck.

I always enjoy a good windmill.
The older the better!

I must note here that I was told to go till the end of the road and than hike.
This is NOT true.
And you soon end up around a good deal of homes.  In fact I am not sure where the road actually does dead end.
The road does become more like a dirt road at some point about mid trip.
Full of rough wash boards and such.
BUT  at the point pictured above  just to the left is a parking area
THIS is were you wish to park.

Some more sights along the way.

You pretty much circle the mountain range to get to the parking area.

The area is also an open range.

This happy little guy was happy that I "mooed!" at him.

This is past the waterfall.
But I was not aware of this fact at the time.

Time to Explore!
It is a very quick trip once parked to the water.
The surrounding hills look like they wish to be Explored.
But I was on limited time on this day.
And I am really not a fan of snakes
so I stayed on the trail.

By the water I saw more than enough snakes to keep me moving fast.

As I said  there was just a trickle of water on this day.
But it was running water!
The rock formations are just high enough  after a big storm I could
see real potential in this being an amazing sight.
I must note here
that the rocks are all super slippery even with dry feet.

I was also very happy that even with the standing water
I ran into no mosquito's on this day.

I always take to many pictures when I actually stumble across water in the
desert, so please bare with me.

At the top of the beak   just off the trail.
Look at them boulder holders!

Back on the dusty trail.

View from our yard again
Same tree  near the end of the fine day.

Next some local live concert action.
