Are We Inching Closer To My Day O Birth?

And a grand good afternoon to y'all!!   Yesterday much of the area lost power in the afternoon.   At least out here it was starting to cool off, and threaten to storm, so it was not life threateningly hot.  The company restored power very quickly although there online page said it could take hours.   Earlier in the day this could have been a very bad thing, here in the desert.  We have pre pay electric---kind of like the cell phone cards.   Years ago I heard about this for the first time and thought it was a joke.   Anyways you kind of guess how much electric you think you will use in the month or how much you can afford, and when you are starting to run low---the company contacts you.   With the old system--a unit in your house started to light up when you were running low and you can buy more power at a grocery store.  Here we live in the middle of no where--and the company notifies your cell phone when it is about to run out.    Unfortunately our notification goes to an old phone number.   So the power just gets shut off.   I thought that was what happened at first yesterday.   But it was still with in business hours, and calling the electric company was not an option.   The phone was fully busy.   Like the whole county was trying to call them.   And in reality -they probably were.   A some what nice storm rolled in, cooling the desert off, but again with little rain.   Monsoon season is my favorite time of the year in the desert.  And as I have been saying, this has been a very disappointing year for that.   Although the lighting storm late last night was beyond amazing!   Almost constant flashes all around us for a good hour.   With almost 0 thunder to scare the puppies.    And almost 0 rain for us----someone must of got hit hard in the storm though.

Right now I am attempting to go in 45 directions at once-so my blog pages are not seeing much new materiel.     I hope to change that soon in my Exploring Amazing Arizona blog page very soon!     I have tons of pictures and Exploring backed up to share.   There are already over 100 picture filled entries to look at.   So please check out the page   and share!!
Where are you Exploring today?

Possibly all I actually need----is a big fire in the expandly deeper hole in the ground--
errrr fire pit.
I do believe there has been enough rain -to allow this.

Just sayin'

And I have the plunger!
You can decide if I cleaned it off first.  As Im sticking my horn in your face.  ';)

Possibly the deepest thing in this entire blog post today.
Maybe all week.    The week is young.

Fingers crossed our vehicle gets fixed tomorrow    I can find a puppy sitter and do it my way and hit the highway!!
