Yesterday I didn't get out of bed all day. I had full thoughts of typing a new blog yesterday, but really did not have the energy. Holding down mostly fluids and some toast all day. I was annoyed to find that liquids were coming out of all of my holes and some part during the day. More annoying because I do not sit well at all. If I have to have the 2nd form of hernia surgery, were I could be in bed for weeks, I will have many blogs written before I go fully stir crazy. I hope for my sanity, and for my awesome nurse, that I end up getting the quicker healing surgery.
While in bed I also saw lots of coverage of the May Day riots. In Seattle, rioters quickly did around $10,000 worth of damage. In what was supposed to be a peaceful set of demonstrations and picketing. Several city's in California and of course Portland also joined the riot bandwagon.
I say of course Portland, because I have seen many riots in and around Portland when I lived in Oregon. The best footage was of two men dressed as super heroes, defending the old Seattle courthouse from about 60 rioters. They pretty much protected the building until law enforcement could show up. They also were taking video during the defending, which was sent on the FBI, to lead in catching several of the wrong doers. The two masked men, simply said it was the right thing to do. No one should be allowed to wreck federal property or any private property. I am sure this is all on You Tube, but I haven't had time to look it up. What I wonder is how things turned so ugly. Isn't May Day supposed to be all about knocking on peoples back doors and leaving baskets of May flowers? Not tearing up streets from the 1st till Cinco De Mayo!
