Father's Day Is Just Around The Corner

Hello all!   In case you have not gotten the memo, Fathers day is soon approaching.  I honestly do not think most people care, even those of us that actually strive to be great dads-not just sperm donars.  Think about it mothers do  so much---and they get a "holiday" during the school year when the kiddos can make something for them at work.   It is a huge day for your mother or your wife.  And unless you were hatched when you were born, you will not hear the end of it if you miss mother's day until you make up for it the following year.  Big time, mister!  I mean your mom did spend 13 months carrying her in your belly--and this *insert lame generic gift here* is the thanks you give me   for allll of that!??  AND mothers are great.   My mom runs the show in her household as does my wife in ours.  They know were everything is and how everything works.   Fathers day is just kind of a day were the dads can have another excuse to BBQ!  And maybe make sure they have a brew in each hand all day.  They can also spend the day realizing they will never be as kool or as loved as the momma-- and can visualize how full there wallets used to be before they had kiddos.  One can also finally pull out that cracked and un-used condom from your wallet that your dad gave you in Middle School.  After the third child is born --condoms might not be as effective any more.  I personally practice safe sex at home, by leaving the lights on.   ;)  I am in no way knocking being a father.  I love the title and take it very serious.   I am knocking the "holiday."

**"We are going to splurge tomorrow and buy an above ground pool--- And going to the lake on Tuesday. I soooo can't wait till the monsoons hit here!"**-------Pictures to come I am sure.   We are just happy to have found an actual lake close to here!   Several of my Exploring blogs have discussed how hard it is to find any water around here.   And the monsoon season is amazing!  Although our dog freaks out in the storms--and has to be outside in the mist of it.   The street in front of our house is paved and soon floods up to my knee height.    I have seen a lot of rain from living in Oregon and Washington for years, but it is usually a cold rain that chills you to the bone.   And the thrill of dancing in the rain disappears after about 2 days.   Although the rainy season there lasts about 4 months.   Here it basically gets so hot that God takes pity on the residents and it dumps down rain!  Better yet it is a kool  refreshing rain.   The dirt is so not used to rain or moisture of any kind that the water does not know were to go.

OK so Jess had her 13th birthday party on the 4th. First ---wow I am old. 2nd---I believe all of the girls ---Except the birthday girl cried about something during the party/sleep over. Does that make it a successful party or not?------I do not understand 13 year olds at all   especially the girl versions.  And I was a teen   once  long ago.

So I have been sharing a lot about my new job.  And  I love the job, but the 12-8 in the AM schedule is not really high on my list.  It seems lately that I always seems to feel like a Zombie if I am at work or not.   Last night I pulled $150 in tips---so that was defiantly a plus.  A hard feet on a normal shift---but really so on a grave yard.  If I do say so myself.

I in now way claim to be the smartest crayon in the box   but Dam I see stupider every day.
Even when I don't voyage to Wally World.

One of our dogs will even snag the top piece of bread on your sandwich.

This wasn't the magic school bus.

Cheers!

I don't care who you are   that's funny right there!

                                                                          Yup!

6/24/2012 AKA A Month Till My Birthday

Lake Sylvia across the state in Grays Harbor.   A few weekends back we spent a terrific, if not overcast day at the lake.  Were do you think they get the Gray part of the name?   As I keep saying, lately --an exploring blog is also coming on this weeksend trip.   Among everything else  I just started a new job last week, and have not had as much free time as before.  More insights on the new job soon---- mostly to protect the innocent, myself.   Cliff notes:   I may very soon have a new new boss.   But it is great to be part of the work force again.  I have been making cash off selling items online and such lately, but this is actual, git down and dirty work.   Working at work, what the heck!  Right?   Anyways, if you live in the Bellingham area and have not gotten the memo, a Pilot truck station is being built in near by Ferndale.  It Actually opens tomorrow!   And that is were I am now working.  Lucky me this company pays once a week, we should wake up with more cash in the morning.  It is going into the account direct deposit, so I might just stay up till midnight, to see if the cash shows up.  I used to fight direct deposit---any time I got a job, because for whatever reason, I enjoy getting and seeing the physical pay check.  But in a paperless environment, one that takes 80 mailed notices each month to tell you that your car insurance is due and than paid in full.

This was takin' in the same area.  In a town that I seldom wish to go too.  I have to say this time, it led to a great trip.   And as I above said, I will retell it all very soon.   I share this picture---of a simple run of ditch, near our friends house, simply because it reminds me of a saying from The Simpsons, that has always stuck with me, no one, even myself knows why.    This saying is talking about bad water.   And I believe the worst water we have endured was around the Phoenix AZ area.   But most of the worse things we found were in that area!  Anyways, here is the quote...  "If it's brown, drink it down!  If it's black, send it back!"   This should be remembered when dinning in any less than fine dinning restaurant or while in Phoenix or Mexico for sure!  Just sayin'!

And now to stay in tradition, I will post about coffee!   Imagine that!   Coffee really is my best friend.   And those that know me well, or have to be around me in the mornings, especially my beautiful wife, are very glad, that I continue to love coffee.  So that I can be a functioning person in the mornings or afternoons.  Whenever I happen to crawl out of bed.

Like booze, the more coffee I drink, the better looking I am to my wife.  Or is that the more great coffee I bring her?   Either way, I just mentioned to squeeze an entire paragraph outta onna my favorite things.  If nothing else, you can scan my old blogs and gain hundreds of pictures, thoughts, and insight just about coffee.  Not to mention all of the other topics I ramble on about.  Sometimes surprising everyone and becoming deep!

I am not sure were the following person shops, or why they get taxed twice, but that is a heck of a discount on midgets!   Wait, what exactly was this person buying?   I go with the more PC termage and say vertically challenged.

  Speaking of PC......

Our dog, Max, thinks he's people!    So our kids really wanted a pet---and we got this great dog a few months ago.    Now they ignore Max.  But that's to be expected.  What always surprises me, even tonight on our walk around town---is any time the two youngest see another dog, even when I am walking ours, they have to run up and ask the owners if they can pet the dog.    We have a dog that is starved for attention, and they could pet all day everyday.  But whatever.

Just as a thought if you live in this area-----and have Facebook, join the fan page for 100.7 the wolf out of Seattle.   You can enter to win $500 worth of gas!    I know with the rising prices of gas, this would help us a ton, and should not be sharing, because I want to win.   But maybe the great radio station will really enjoy me rambling on about them.  I am just happy we get the station clear up here in Bellingham.   Because many of the local stations, leave a lot to be desired.

I honestly just heard about a new kitchen faucet, that dispenses coffee.   How great does this sound?   True or not.

**"So I saw an automated sign waving machine today on the Guide in Bellingham. No need to pay anyone to hold the sign and wave at people. Dam machines are taking all our jobs."**---I personally hate the self checkers at stores, because I have been a cashier for years.  And one worker can easily be in charge of ten or more self check out stations.  Luckily for us human cashiers, most others hate the check outs, mainly because they can not figure the dam things out.

Summer time is time for lemonade!

So---I have some great posts coming for both of my blogs.   Please stay patient with me.  And thank you for all of the views!    This sight is getting very near to 9000 views and my newest blog sight has 400 views now.  I am also working on a story that is still playing out with us at the moment.  As I always say, I can not make this sh*t up!   And it is a doozy of a story, if I do say so myself.  I hope everyone is have an adventure filled summer!

Hello Spring!?

**"You know when you walk into a room and you forget why you went in there?
That's God playing Sims."**

**" Internet was down yesterday. I think my neighbor forgot to pay the bill. How irresponsible..."**

**"As soon as women see me, they want to get in shape to impress me. So they start running."**

This picture is very hard to see, but is a sure sign that spring really is coming~ !  Although the weather is not reflecting that at all here right now.   On St Patty's Day we again watched it hail, and dump down rain.  As I was hearing about 70 degree temperatures in Billings, Montana.   I will post more about green beer day and such tonight.  Anyways, the above picture is of a blue bird I spotted just down the road while roaming around with our dog.  Again I apologize for the crummy picture.

So yesterday on the other side of Washington state, they had an earthquake.  It only registered at 3.3, but still an oddity for the area.   Please check out the below link if you wish to read more.  http://kxro.wordpress.com/2012/03/18/earthquake-in-pacific-county/

Another sign that spring is here--is that today is the spring equinox.   The longest day of the year.   I have a feeling it will be a great day, but not really weather wise.  Anyways, this is the only day of they year that one can balance eggs on end.   Go ahead try it!

My doctor asked me to cut back to one cup of coffee---No problem!   You should see my new booze cup.

With gas prices already over $4 all over town, I am suddenly very glad we walk and take the bus every were.   Although I do miss the days of having my own pick-up

Above is today's picture of the day   go ahead you can say it-----Wahoo!
This takes us to Big Horn, Wyoming.   My home town.  This, as the sign says is the Mercantile.   I believe they have ruined the inside of the building, with "progress"  but the outside still looks exactly the same as I recall.   Complete with the horse tie up posts out front.

I also believe they ruined the old schools.   The new buildings are huge and look a lot like a prison.  The inside has the same feel also.  With no character, and every room and hall way looking the same.

One of the few things I regret about leaving Wyoming is that a few of us classmates recalled burring a time capsule when we were in middle school.   So, years ago.   We are even pretty sure we know were the capsule is now, and that all the construction did not alter the burial sight.   Anyways I left town and the state before we got the project rolling.   We were the mighty Big Horn Rams, and I do believe the best class in years was "97"  I pause while you try to figure out how old I am now.   The  above picture shows our mascot and an award the entire district recently received.   Ugly building, good teachers I guess.  Classes have grown I am sure, but our class was the biggest in awhile with 27 students.   My mother went to the same school, a few years before I did, and they had 4 students.  I believe the best part of the district, was the fact that we had Fridays off.   Longer school daze each day, were well worth it!
With the un-attractiveness of the new buildings, I was very glad to see this mural.   This picture only shows a small portion of the huge picture.  It was in the High School across from the gym as long as I can recall.

In last thoughts, for now, I again will say another blog post is coming tonight.   A picture filled post that is mostly a re-cap of the last week or so events.   The other day I had coffee with a good buddy of mine.   While in Wyoming, I could never find anyone to go to coffee with, and  I missed it a lot.   Although I believe the disscusions and thoughts seemed deeper the more coffee that was consumed.   Anyways, my friend and I had parted ways for almost a year.   And I was more than a little concerned about that morning with him.   I figured that no one would deny free coffee and offered to buy his brew.   Short story shorter, it went very well, and I am overly glad that we are good again.
