       I used to start many of my blog posts with deep and inspiring quotes.  Minus the deep.  Lots of times the quotes actually had something to do with that daze blog post.  Several of today's are from my sisters new Facebook sight.  "Stuff people say."  She has carried around notebooks for years, and when people say interesting things around her--they make it in the notebooks.  At one point several years ago I was in Wyoming visiting my parents and my sister, and spent the entire time trying to make it in one of the notebooks.  Apparently, and not very surprisingly most of my quotes were dumb.  But at one magical point I made the book!   I am not sure what my quote is, anymore, and have not yet seen it posted on her new page.  To date the deepest quote I have seen on her page-is number three up above.

   Enough self promotion for now!

    This is my first blog post of May.  And although I am very aware of time flying by over the last few years, I am finding it very hard to believe that -next month we will have lived in Arizona for a year now.  I am also coming very close to not having a "real job" for almost a year now.  You might have thunk I would have accomplished some things in that amount of time!  ;)   I have to wonder, and maybe someone out there in reader land knows the answer--when May Day went from leaving flowers on peoples door steps---to rioting against big business and destroying towns.  Seattle has this "fun" celebration every year.  And although this year was not any different, the breaking and actual rioting was kept to a minimum.  The police were ready this year.  

 

 

     On the same note I have been hearing about bad cops all across the nation, a ton lately.  Ones that might have gotten picked on a little to much in high school, and now use there "powers" for bad or getting even.  I must also say the cops around here--local and across the state have treated us with nothing but fairness and respect.  And we have meet plenty of them here through the years.  People in Albuquerque seem to have a reason to gripe.   Over the last year 39 people have been shot at by police, and out of that 24 have been killed!  Dully the local residents are rising up.  But is that a good idea with out wearing bullet proof vests?  Why do police departments from every town need armored vehicles.  Even more of them line even the smallest towns since 911.  How much of it is to protect and serve and how much is to become a total police state using sure fear as an excuse.  Not to get into things to deep for today, but Big Brother is getting very strong very quickly.   I just re re read 1984 the other day, and it is scary if nothing else.   Maybe more of us should do the same, and attempt to wake up a little bit. 

 

 

 

 

 

I also missed talking about May 5th at all.

I do believe no Mexicans still actually celebrate this day, unless they actually enjoy watching really white people drink a lot, cheer, eat cheap tositos slathered in mayo!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

    I prefer the more PC termage of "Vertically challenged" and my wife likes to say we are "fun sized"  but I have never heard it described as above. 

 

 

 

   True story!    For extra fun--the gear shifter on our car is always extra hot also.   So I would need two oven mitts.  Stylin'!    For extra fun, we have never had a vehicle while living in the desert with working A/C.  I would like to say you can roll down the windows and blast down the highway to kool off, but when summer really hits it is just warm air blowing in on you.

At Least Our Coffee Never Gets Cold In Arizona!

                                              So many trails   so little time.
                                                   Bellingham, Washington

       My family and I have lived in Arizona before--in fact if you factor us all together, there is very few places in the US we have not lived or visited.  But it has been a long while since we lived in the state "Of the sweating sun" before.  After living in Washington for the last few years, we are slowly getting used to a lot of things here.   The biggest difference, is seeing sunshine so much!   With the sunshine comes heat- and sunburns.   Another huge difference is the landscape, exploring conditions, and wildlife.  I am typing this blog post outside, and am surrounded by curious lizards and many many bugs, that seem to just want to attack me.  To make things more interesting, this month we are all staying in a 21 foot travel trailer.  We got a great deal on the trailer, but various functions of the trailer take turns not working.   Small functions, like the water, or the A/C.   So one or all of us waking up on the wrong side of the bed, is a common occurrence.  We are over-joyed to report that we are moving into a nice and nice sized house next weeksend!!  One of the big selling points was that the house has two bathrooms, because we now have two Middle School aged children, and often tend to find ourselves locked out of the one current bathroom for important things like hair combing and staring at ones self in the mirror.   Amazingly little toilet usage is done in our bathroom.   

     As I keep saying, I have a ton of ideas and changes coming for all of my blogs.  And at least when I am full of caffeine--I am very excited about all of these.   The best--and most work comes with a brand new, third blog sight---all about exploring Arizona.  I do not have an opening date yet, but it will be this summer for sure!   From our journeys and such, I also have a ton of exploring pictures and posts in the works.  I find it very helpful to make a list of whats coming.   So that I can be sure and not accomplish any of it.  So below I will post many of the up-coming pages you can enjoy and or laugh at.  With the move, the heat, running from angry bugs, finding a house, finding a job, spotty wi-fi connections,  etc ---New posts have been extra rare on here.   I hope to remedy that soon!!     As always----Please leave me comments, visit all of my sights, and pass on the links ---if you enjoy what you see here!!   ** I know that last one is a big IF.**

But we made it---safe and sound!

       Right after I returned  from the big city of Billings, we headed out on our cross country move.   This was supposed to be a four day trip---and turned into an almost two week -VERY expensive voyage.   So I have lots of thoughts and pictures to share!    Including some great exploring along the way!!     This will probably turn into a multi- part post.

        Last weeksend we took the short drive to the famous city of Tombstone---"The town to tough to die!"    And enjoyed a full day of history and gun fights.

         Last night was a "Super Moon."   Basically we were so close to the moon, that it appeared  much fuller than a regular full moon.   The kiddos and I drove out to the nearby caverns and took a park ranger guided trail hike, as we watched the huge moon slowly rise.   





     Than I wish to make a post/glossary of all of my exploring posts from each of my pages.   Kind of a quick reference guide.   This will also mark the finish of my Bellingham, WA posts.   Were I wish to get the word out on that page so it can be used as a travel/tourist guide for the beautiful area.  It will also be a launching off pad for my newest blog series.   I really wish all of my trips and exploring were offered here---but this page and my memory only go back about two years at this time.   ;)

      With Fathers day just passed--some inspiration for all those not so great dads out there.  Those that do not really try and are mainly there to make babies not raise them.  

  Happy Fathers day for me and our host thanks to Safeway--and the new ruling were all local grocery stores can now sell booze.   I will picture my huge fathers day card in a blog very soon.

   I did not take the above picture---BUT am more than ready to ride this huge new ferries wheel still being assembled on the bay line in Seattle!   And of course I will have my own pictures after.  

   After spending the weeksend as guests in someone elses home--I hope the following won't be said by our hosts.   We try to help out and compensate by providing child care, cleaning, food, etc while staying any were.  Because it is the right thing to do, and because we are to poor to give them cash.   I wish more people that stayed here, had the same thought waves.  

   This is a common response to most of my random thoughts.  Please share your thoughts on my thoughts with me!   I love all comments.  And they help my writing grow much more than you could imagine.  

  Phone pranks are much more challenging with the invention of caller ID, but they are still possible.  

   These signs are needed in MANY a store!   I usually get behind the person in the express lane that has two carts full of grocery's, tries to write a check, than counts out exactly $6.66 out in change.  And than puts all of this back in there pocket and pulls out debit card, they do not know how to use.  They swipe it 12 times, the wrong way, and than realize they do not know there own pin number.   Why am I saying ---usually get behind these people--I always get behind these people.  

    A survey just showed that 87% of Americans could not survive an acopolise or huge disaster---is it now wonder the same amount of people can not use there own money!   These same scientists just determined that we are much more likely to die on our birthdays than any other day.  To much stress or partying or cake or something.
