Good morning, Aye!   Actually I have been up for a few hours now, and have not yet decided if today is good, but it is morning.

I do have the day off work, and the sun is already shining.  Day three of sunshine, for those of you keeping track.   This means that the sun has been around long enough that even Washington residents can recall what that bright light in the sky is actually called, and they have either found a pair of sunglasses or gave up looking and bought a new pair at the dollar store.   Because I have not slept much in the past, o week or year, and am happily full of coffee this post will more than likely be more random than normal.   Lucky you!    I hope to have a post or two in my other blog series today also ---all about exploring Bellingham and the area.   Filled with exploring and my best pictures.   Please check it out:
   http://exploreb-ham.blogspot.com
I have been out getting some great pictures of the area before we move cross country, and there is new places to explore.  This afternoon I hope to get some shots in Lummi.    So several blog posts are in the works.   Also as and when we move ---the above sight will stop and a new page will appear.   I hope that you all enjoy this page even more than my other blogs.

With plenty of old barn pictures.
The above is in Sheridan, Wyoming.
Was in Sheridan--this barn no long stands.   Luckily one day I jumped the fence around it, and got some great shots.
Roaming around Lummi, I probably will not jump to many fences.   ;)

I have been at my current job just short of a year now.   And I love it.   Most of it.  This will be a job I will actually miss when we move.   I play server in a local casino.   And the customers are like no others I have had in my many past jobs.   This is mostly a good thing.   I have learned in the past, not to reviel to much in my blog posts, because I am never really sure whom is reading my rambling.   So---more thoughts and observations on this job, after it is yet another listing on my resume.    That said, here are a few work related, somewhat, things I wish to share this bright morning.

I wish I had the above picture in a few past arguments.
Especially when I was trying to explain that a constant hand/arm movement to ones mouth with a pitchfork, was not considered exercise.

So a few nights back I was preparing to leave work.   A very busy night at work, and my motivation had long since left me.  Even the caffeine was not really doing it's job either.   One of the last chores is to fold napkins for the next shifts use.  As I was doing this extra fun task an extremely large person walked by.  I say person because of the form there really was no distinguishable body parts.   This individual had to weigh at least 300 pounds.  The point to all of this, is how memorizing watching all of that flab move was.   I am sure this paragraph sounds beyond horrible --but it was amazing and all of my actual work stopped.  Maybe this is one reason I am trying to use larger words in this paragraph, to enlighten my terrible thoughts.   It was also very motivational in me wanting to purchase a similar spoon to the one pictured above.   I have a whole blog post brewing on this weighty subject.  But the cliff notes are--- many many people are becoming super-sized.  Me included, but heck round is a shape right?   The garden chairs at Wally World, have bigger seating areas every summer, and Fisher Price little people, are much wider than they used to be.

Even though I am a server at work, we can gain extra cash and hours by working on the banquets side.   It isn't the most glamorous work, but the paycheck is good.  A few months back I landed two banquets in one day.   The first was for the Red Hat Society.   I am not sure the concept of all of this, but it seems to give older ladies something to do.    No one informed me what the banquet was hosting, and I was not prepared to walk into the large room --filled with 200 seniors and tons and tons of red and purple.   Wow, my eyes came very close to starting to bleed!   It wasn't all bad, an Elvis impersonator, or maybe it was Him  took over the stage at one point.
That night I helped with an elder meeting for many of the local Indians.  I was sure it was a set up to get rid of the Token White boy, a name I have dubbed myself at work.  Being almost the only white male many a night at work.  For some reason everyone else on the banquet team, was sent to other locations of the Casino, and I was set out alone, in a room full of Indians.   \
**Let me state here that I am not dissing this race in any way.  Or bothered by Indians ---in any way.**   BUT the meeting soon turned to an open mike night----and the speakers were soon mostly talking about how they could not find jobs, and how the local casino's were hiring white people more and more.    We were taking there jobs on there land.    Etc.   And the arguments were getting louder and stronger.   All of this time I was the only non Indian in the room, and I was in full Casino dress, serving and obviously flaunting my job over them.
I am now sure I had nothing to fear, but the situation made me a little jittery at the time.

Easter is right around the corner!

In closing----  On the way home from work, I quickly merge onto the highway.   Several miles down the highway last night, I started to hear this loud warning alarm from inside the car.   It took me awhile to learn that this annoying sound --told me that my turning signal was left on.   And I instantly relaxed a lot and turned off the signal.   This is a very loud buzzer, and I thought for sure I had lost a tire or tail engine at first.   Duley noted- a similar sound sounds when I place a case of beer in the passenger front seat.   This alarm is informing me that I should strap the beer into the saftey belt for all of our saftey.   Thank you warning alarm!

Sun Set Favorites

Writers note:
This is another blog post first published 11/2/2012 on my other sight. All about exploring Bellingham, Washington and Whatcom county. This marks post #56 to the new sight. Please share the links if you enjoy what you see!! http://exploreb-ham.blogspot.com/

The sun is such a rare sight this time of year--I try to capture it in as many pictures as possible. So I can enjoy the sight of it, all winter long. I believe the best sun rise I have ever witnessed was several years ago when we still lived in Arizona. Land of the sweating sun. After finding out that my wife had never seen the Grand Canyon, we ditched the kiddos with Nana, and took off in the middle of the night. I had a camper topper on the back of my pick-up, and we spent a very chilly night cuddled up to each other. Way to early in the morning, we joined the masses- and took a short walk. Witnessing the sun rise over this already beautiful place was beyond amazing. I can not describe it in words or pictures. I took some pictures, but they do not even start to give justice or credit to the sights we witnessed.

Because I do not function well in the morning, before many cups of coffee, most of my pictures are of sun sets!

Today I wish to share some of my favorites. Mostly from near the bay. Because on a clear evening the views beat any show on television for sure! The first few I would like to share --are not from Bellingham----for shame--I know! But I find them very kool. They were shot in my hometown of Sheridan, Wyoming. For the many of you that have no clue were Wyoming is, it is the large, empty, snow-filled, square---in more ways than one, state directly below Montana. Every one knows were Montana is! Anyways, I recently spent some time there --- with my family.

This is actually in the town cemetery.

I was roaming around town -- taking pictures-

and got this great shot.

Very soon after, it started to pour down rain.

This one is over some random persons roof.

It almost looks like a painting to me.

I am thinking about posting the exploring blogs I posted on my other sight, while living in Wyoming, on this sight. I try to deal with the ever beautiful Bellingham area, but this sight is also all about exploring. Please let me know your thoughts on this! Easily leave comments or check out both of my blog sights on my Facebook page.....

And now back to Bellingham!

Blaine, Washington

Down by the board walk is the place to be --come sun set!

Plus there is a walk up coffee shop near-by.

These were shot on the 4th of July

while waiting for the fireworks to start......

Roaming around the Fairhaven Terminal

I love this tree!

I have so many pictures of this tree--now I just need a fall picture and a snow picture.

  •                             I am still kind of annoyed today involves me wearing pants at all!

I used to add such deep quotes to every one of my blog posts.  But have been straying from this for awhile now.  Once upon a time, most of the quotes even followed with the theme of that days blog post.  But lately, my blogs do not really even have a theme.  I see this again being the case tonight.  Mostly because it is almost 1 A.M. I had hopes of writing this much earlier, but than the next thing I knew it was time to go to work, and than after work, the power went out at our house.  Right in the middle of my favorite TV show of course.  We have more candles than any one family should, so lit up the house, and my wife and I proceeded to make out to pass the time.  So primitive, I know, but one does what they have to when they love there partner, and there is no TV ;)   To see some great quotes, and examples of blogs that were actually deep, please roam through some of my old postings, or easier yet, go to any other persons blog sight!

The other day we had to take our dog to the vet.  And beyond paying out a lot of cash, we learned that it is time to find a new vet.  We took the great dog, after it's owners moved into an apartment that would not allow the dog.  So we thought he should go to the vet he was used to.  Apparently he is not used to his vet, because he mainly just wanted to eat his vet.  We have never seen him act anything like this towards any other person.  Ever.  At one point I was massaging the dogs head, while the vet tech and the vet layed on him, while he had a muzzle on, and he was very willing to bite the vet.  He was in pain, and at one point came from abusive owners, but right after this ordeal, that I managed to witness without laughing once--I am proud to say.  Although I can say I can not explain the episode to others with out laughing.  Later though--I had no trouble touching our dog in any of his sore spots, so it makes us wander more than a little bit about ever taking him back to this vet.   Dogs are very perceptive about people---although this may not be true, since all dogs seem to love me!

So last month I rambled on a little bit about a man who robbed the local Banner Bank in Fairhaven.  I still find it amazing that anyone can rob a bank and get away with it in this day and age.  And this guy got away on a bicycle.  Anyways, last Tuesday the same man hit the same bank, and again got away on a bike!   Did they not beef up security?  If you have your cash at this bank, maybe you should consider some were safer, like your bed mattress.  And all of this makes me start to really think I should buy a new bike!

                                                              Good times!

                                                                       Cheers!

In going with my theme of talking about coffee in some way in most of my blogs.  Here we go again.  Actually in my next exploring blog, I am going to be complaining about some of the local coffee joints.
But today I must share about AM/PM coffee.   They have a ton of great choices, for a get in get out type of place.  They also have a great punch card program--it only takes buying 3 drinks--coffee, pop, any fountain drink, and your 4th drink is free.  On Tuesdays it is double punch day, by the way.
For how popular places like Starbucks are, how often do they give you free coffee??

    I love the above picture.
And think that possibly the only shoe choice that could be stupider or more useless is wearing sandals with socks.

    1. Here here! Neither is being fat! Every time we go to Wally World, all the electric carts are full of biguns--not old people. I have a whole blog in the works about all of this. But basically if you can sit on the curb in the sun, and make your own gravy, while sweating---you might want to go on a diet!!

The above said, I really do have some great and deep blogs in the works.  Please be patient and keep checking out both of my blog sights for great updates.  And share the links if you enjoy what you see!

    Seems logical.....

                                                       When life hands you lemons.

OK I have to ask, what is going on with gas prices?   Summer is almost over, and the local fairs are all gone.  Which is why I thought gas was going so high last week.  Plus I swear I just heard on the news about a new country were they found gas all over the place.  What the heck!

**"Beer is good, God is great, and people are crazy!"**

**"I'd like to find the judge who gave Pabst it's blue ribbon & kick him in the nuts."**

**"My wife and I had words, but I didn't get to use mine."**

We have been dealing with a lot of crazy lately.   So much so, that I really do not even want to sit outside or have our front door open.  To get away from it just a little bit, we are running to our car this afternoon *so no one see's us, and going to BBQ/picnic at one of the local parks.  Always a three thumbs up idea in my book.

Speaking of crazy, last Wednesday an armed man robbed one of the banks in the heart of Fairhaven.   He than got away, on bike.  Not a mooter bike, but a bicycle.  We first found out because several helicopters were circling our area, flying very low.  The only one I could recognize was a border patrol helicopter.   Although it seems odd to have the boarder patrol involved, we are very close to the boarder.  And when we lived in Blaine, a boarder town, if you had to call the police, the boarder patrol would show up first.  Anyways, we got online and found out about the bank robbery.   After we locked out front door, I decided to take our dog Max for a ride, and roam around the small town in our car.  I got a few pictures, nothing thrilling at all, mostly of the bank and entire areas police force around town.   Since they were not great pictures, and I am still unsure of how legal it is to post pictures of police officers, I will not post any of these on here.
It took a few hours, but the criminal was caught.   What remains crazy to me, is that in this day and age someone can still rob a bank, and get away.  Even if for a little while.  With all of the cameras and such that are every were.  This isn't the wild wild west anymore.
While we lived in Arizona, the land of the sweating sun, banks got robbed all of the time.  One bank robber jumped in a taxi cab to attempt his getaway from the police.   One has to wander what cab driver would allow this, and why the cab driver would accept the fair knowing it would mostly be stolen money.  And the bright yellow color made it an easy mark for the police to follow.   By the time we left the "great" state, people were breaking into construction sights, stealing backhoes and than digging up ATM machines, and than driving off with the machines.  Usually these machines had big chunks of cement stuck to the bottom of them.  Try explaining all that to the police, when you get pulled over for having Bank of America's ATM sticking out of the back of  your pickup truck!

I seldom have the above problem  ;)

Sadly the above is my war cry way to much.
But I am working on being more productive in all aspects of life.   And most of my list will start tomorrow!

Have you ever gotten one of these cones stuck under your car?   It is a huge pain to get them back out from under there.    Although I hit a bucket once with my truck, and got it wedged very well under the truck also.

So the above person was told that he could not fly a flag in his yard by the home owners association.   So he quickly decided it was time for a new paint job on his house.

                                                            Mmmmmmm coffee!!

If you took all of my pictures and such about coffee in all of my blogs, you would have a lot of coffee pictures!     I hope you enjoy at least some of them.

Would you drink out of this coffee mug?   Or is it a complete fail in your eyes?  I still have not decided.  But if it was good enough coffee---- I am sure I would make it disappear even from this mug!
