       I hope you and yours have an amazing Christmas filled with family, joy, and lots of booze if needed to survive all of that family time, and time off from school your kiddos will be on!   Our kids are ticked because mom decided that they need to wait until I get off work and home to open the main gifts.  This will be like 6 PM.   They still get to open one gift on Christmas Eve.  And everything from Santa.   I see it as pay back for all of the years they have very excitedly gotten us up at 3 AM.  ;)  

 

Anyone else this excited for Christmas??

So last year we got rid of our fake Christmas tree and tried to start a tradition

of buying only real trees.   I did not think this out to much

living in the middle of the desert and all.

We drove miles to look at trees from Washington state.

Since they were shipped so far--they were far from reasonably priced.

The little baby, Charlie Brown trees were like $50 bucks. 

We sadly ended up at Wally World, but had a real tree!

This year I caved and we bought a new fake tree.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Possibly the best last minute gift for all of those people still on your shopping list.

The ones that are not really family or even friends for that matter.

Great flask I got for Halloween actually.

Maybe our best gift this year.

After our other car decided to stop running --and became yet another "paper weight" for us,

we went for broke and got this car. 

With all of my hatters  I kind of do not wish to post a picture of the car,

but it is in our drive way all the time, so I guess it is OK. 

It is so nice, that I am still almost afraid to touch anything in it. 

We seem to have a lot of paper weights, but not much paper.  ;(

I kind of want to have the old car squished down   and turned into the base of a

new coffee table for us.

We have many attempts at ginger bread houses   and this seems like the

only real solution!

Although this year we found large ginger bread men to decorate.

Since we do not have to put them together   it should go

much smoother this year.

 

 

Last thought for this morning.

 

OK  So I was driving home from work a few days back and it was pouring down rain.

In Arizona  no driver knows what to do when it rains---and they all seem to just run into each other on the highway.   They also seem to drive at a very safe speed of 25 MPH on the highway.

It is just rain, one can just slow down to a safe 100MPH people. 

Anyways, I passed a lit up over head highway sign that warned me of winter weather ahead.

I grew up in Wyoming and had to laugh to myself a little.

Above is a picture of a normal July day in Wyoming.

When we took a road trip during the long winter there we loaded the trunk with emergency items in the very likely case you would be stuck along the side of the road or in a huge drift for the better part of a day.

Such fun items like shovels, sand and blankets. 

I realize areas of Arizona see snow--quite a bit of snow, but here winter weather does not get much worse than spitting rain, crashing cars, and a low temperature of 50.

            Hello!   I hope you also have a coffee in hand.  Today is my day off and I sadly got way less sleep last night than I had hoped.  Our new puppy is in heat, and my male pit bull is beyond crazy for her smell.  So it is a constant attempt to keep them apart.  The puppy was staying at a friends house, but my wife missed the baby being home, so she came back last night.   All night at least one of the animals was whining about something.  Or trying to hump something.  The pit bull got so excited at one point that he was shaking, humping air, and proceeded to throw up all over the living room floor.   Sounds like a Monday to me for sure!   Today actually sounds like more work than any day at work, because we are trying to get all of the last minute things done around the house before Christmas.  And it is a long list.  Tomorrow night is the big Christmas at work.  They are giving away amazing prizes, the trick is to actually win one.  While I am guzzling coffee and trying to energize, and yelling constantly at the pit bull, I thought I would type out this blog post.   I forgot the good news, at least for me.   My laptop has been out of commission for a few months now---we finally got it fixed and this is what I am typing on this fine morning. 

 

  
     **Benson friends riddle me this: We have a legit complaint about neighbors that have been harassing us since May---cops show up and make fun/laugh at my wife. Tonight --just now a drunk yells down the street----3 cop cars and 1 sheriff show up just for him. Really?**-----   So last night I came out into the living room to turn off some lights and raid  the fridge before bed, and saw some bright lights in our front yard.  That is when I noticed four police cars basically in our drive way.  Of course we went out front to witness the commotion.  There is a bar very close to our house, so drunks cause noise problems a lot.  We are still not quite sure what this particular one was guilty of.  I just find it odd that this was so many cops top priority last night.

    ***Call me stupid---,many have but I believe if you have kids and you can't afford to pay your rent. Most purchases are not essential.***----Not really a whole lot to add to this I guess.  When I was I my 20's I bought a lot of stupid things, but I could always make rent, and most importantly I did not have any kids at that point.  My mistakes were just my mistakes, they would not hurt anyone else.  For the most part.   Ideas do seem way betterer when you are really drunk.  ;)  I keep reading peoples statuses on Facebook--were they buy dumb as* items all of the time.  There right.  But one in particular has not paid rent for over a year  because the rent goes to a very lenient family member.  They also have kids.  I hope soon the landlord becomes a hard as* and the tenant grows up.   If nothing else for the kids sake. 

 

    Last year the Benson light parade was amazing. It was our first year in Benson and our whole family enjoyed the whole night.             Hello all!  I am not sure who's dumb idea it was to make today the ninth of December, already.  But I am not ready!  This year has flown by, and with work and all--it has went even faster it seems.  Plus with it being warm, even in December in the desert--it just does not feel like Christmas time.  At least this year we are all greatly in the spirit.  Several years in the past, I could not say the same.  But with playing Santa /helping Santa and all-- I easily believe I work much harder at home on my daze off work.  Although I would never admit that to any of my managers. 

     **"Dear friends that are freezin': It is T-shirt & shorts weather here------ Just thought I would share! Continue freezing now.  "**-----Because in the land of the sweating sun, Arizona ---You don't have to shovel sunshine!   ;)

        So I am trying to type all of this before I fall back asleep.  My posts are usually loopy--but it might turn out a little more so today when I go back and read this post through again.  Let me explain---I have been sick for two weeks now.  As is much of the nation, it seems.  I have been taking over the counter meds and powering it out and going to work.  Yesterday I gave up, deciding I needed stronger medication to actually kick all of this.  The doctor game me cough medicine with Codeine in it.   And I am a light weight.   It soon turns me beyond groggy and ready for bed.   So as I said, I am trying to finish this all before sleepy/happy time.

      "People" are now spending thousands and thousands of dollars on plastic surgery so that they will have much betterer selfie pictures. AND girls are now coloring their underarm hair as a new fad. Thoughts before I share mine..... And go !!**


   

    **Although I love the rain I spent years in it in Washington and Oregon I hate desert rain, because no can drive in it. News flash 20 MPH on I 10 is too slow!**------  People in Arizona have no idea what to do when it rains   and them seem to settle the confusion by just giving up and running into each other on the highways.   I wrote the above post this morning before leaving for work.  And it pretty much held true, traffic was terrible for a Thursday.

         
     **Got to tweak out on someone again yesterday about how lines work. As in lines to buy food etc. Everyone stands in them daily, but no one actually seems to understand how they work. I believe at one point I told the lady that she never got to cut in the well fare line. Not very Christmas like but Dam if it is not stress relieving.**-----I realize I should try and be more calm--especially this time of year, but maybe this was my nice version of handling things.  ;)   Plus I am very sure a few friends of mine only talk to me because of constant stories like this.  I am not making this one up, nor do I any of my stories -- I have found you can't make things like this up. 

    Speaking of that I just yelled at a homeless lady the other day at Mc Grease Pit--because she was one of the many that does not understand how lines work. I think I concluded my point by stating that I was sure she would not be allowed to cut in line at the welfare office.   I have had anger management classes in my past--and have to say it is nothing like the movie with Adam Sandler.  I did learn how to count backwards from ten--an activity that was supposed to give me time to calm myself and than handle the situation at hand but mainly just angered me more. 
    On a some what related topic---we just had harassment training classes at work.  Something everyone got to go to--or lose their jobs.  During the classes we got to learn how best to harass others---wait that's not it..... how not to harass others, or at least how to do so without getting caught.  Either way   I think I will be very good at it.  I really wanted to ask the instructor -if we could get rape whistles for when things got to harsh at work.  But counted backwards from ten instead, and refrained from the asking.  Althogh this does make me wonder  who at work would answer the whistle blows  and how they would handle this.    Cliff notes of the meeting--- When I wore the dress to work on Halloween---I was told that if I liked any actions by others--it was not harassment.  ;)  We also got to watch some great videos-- 5 star videos, out of 100 stars, maybe.  And than deduct if the actions in the video were harassing or not.  I seemed to be the only one a little alarmed that the background music in each video was very similar to that in most porno movies.  Again I refrained from bringing this up.

A December To Rember.

             
                  With work and the holidaze right upon us, things have been going doubly fast in our house hold.  Because of the commute to work, I am finding myself on 12 hour days during work days, before any of the shopping or extras.  Of course figuring in the drive time greatly messes with my high per hour earnings so I do not count this.  Wages have been very good this time of year--unless you work for the IRS.  Because of a little thing called tips.   Something that many people do not fully understand.  And something that will diminish greatly for several months after Christmas.  When everyone gets there credit card bills in the mail.  As far as the people that do not understand tips--that is for another blog post for sure. 

                  Every one of our Christmas--each year has been amazing and special for sure.  From the years we were together to the terrible years we spent the holidaze states apart.  Again that is for another post.  Last night we enjoyed the lights and sights at the zoo in Tucson.  All free because of my work place.  Pictures to come very soon.  For much more local Exploring please check out my Exploring Arizona blog page  at:  http://exarizonagobensonbobcats.blogspot.com/

  *** After an extra busy extra long day at work on Turkey day and have worked 8 black Friday weeksend at Wally World I have to say I was rather disappointed at how ffriendly and happy the shoppers were at the local Benson AZ Wally World. Nothing close to a fight actual friendly even helpful shoppers every where. At one point I believe I might have purposely slammed my shopping cart into someone lacking in moving with the flow skills--- and they actually happily apologized to me. *wait this was not the reaction I was expecting!* Causing me to pause, and quickly re think my bah humbug attitude! Kudos Benson shoppers.***---  It was an amazingly busy day at work for Turkey day.  One were I almost wished I had roller skates on.  Almost--until I recalled that I could not ride roller skates and probably would have started and ended the day under a booth filled with hungry customers after I could not stop in the roller skates.  With my legs doing things that normal legs should not do. 

 

Yup,  pretty much what it looked like inside the local Wally World store. 

 

 

 

     Crazy day on all aspect. Super busy at work-- spilled coffee on a customer--that didn't go well at all--learned some more super good news at work---- *can't tell yet, because I don't officially know* Saw a fully engulfed in flames car in 1-10 Went to the madness at Wally World. Now time for some pie and maybe some booze. Hope everyone in FB land also had an amazing Turkey day!!



     ***Everyone has there own thoughts on the Fergeson mess and how it will affect the rest of the country. My only thought for now In the video footage last night, I saw tons of people looting a Dollar Tree Who takes the time to loot a dollar store??---I do not know everything about this case--nor do I wish too.   I can say the riots were ridiculous-- especially the riots in other parts of the country.  I think this whole thing is a whole conspiracy -especially after hearing the "presidents" speech---but what do I know.   Last thoughts on it all ----   If some crazed man rushed at your personal mini van full of your wife and your kids--and this man had a gun pointed in the window of your mini van---no matter what color he was   would you not do whatever it took to make sure your family and you came out of the situation alive?   YES  the officer should have had training and probably had no reason to shoot the man 7 times---but training only does so much.  If this man was hopped up on drugs   he would have been greatly un predictable.  The average Joe Father driving the mini van--has no real training.  Yes he might have a gun and since he has kids, he should have training with the gun---but the thug in Fergeson also had a gun---and the only time he probably held it was to take selfies for Facebook.  The 12 year old kid that just got shot by police because he was holding an air pistol  was also very sad.  But --what youngster needs any kind of gun in the middle of the night or in any public place.  These fake guns look amazingly real---treat them like they were real.   Lastly I have been involved in several riots and such.  I did live in Oregon amongst the hippies for years.  And I never got arrested or assaulted by the police.   The people trying to tip over cop cars and break windows got beat down--but not me.  Put all that in your peace pipe and take a few smokes on that  before you reply to me with your versions of why all this is wrong.

 

 

This reminds me  that we will soon have new Christmas pictures for everyone to enjoy.
