My First Post Of July--This Year

**"I have been to a lot of firework displays/4th celebrations--but small town shows are always the best by far!"**

I hope everyone had an amazing and super safe 4th of July.  I also hope that each of you took some time out from drinking and blowing things up to recall what the day is all about. Especially with the huge volume of illegal aliens crossing our boarders every hour.  Our freedoms as we know them are increasing very rapidly.  I will not ramble about this more, right now--because if you do not know what I am even talking about, you are a huge part of the problem.  Get back on your cell phone and Twitter!  And please stop watching Fox "news."  Anyways with July comes my birthday.  I am more than willing to skip the day altogether.  Some time just  after about ones 21st birthday, birthdays really do stop being fun.  That said, each year I manage to bring up my day of birth multiple times before it actually happens.  Maybe so that y'all will have more time to not buy me any presents!  As many years I will probably be at work this year on my birthday.  This is fine with me, mainly because it means that I have a job and more importantly a pay check.  As on Facebook, I do hate all the well wishes from people I don't really know all that well.  This is a new job, and I do not know any of these workers very well yet--so just as online a fake greeting from someone I rarely talk to  but that has just read about my "special day" just isn't all that important to me.  Call me crazy--but I resemble it to a big case of the Mondays.  This year though--the fun almost comes back--with a rare triple good wammie!   All of our kiddos go back to school on that day, and it is payday!!  OK with all that good news  even perfect strangers can wish me a happy birthday and not ruin my day or year!  ;)

Cheers!

If you don't think this is funny--you either found no donuts under the box last time you tried this, you are a cop, or--most likely    YOU should find a new page to read.  Just sayin'

**"Some rare R& R time. I have another 6 day work week this week. Was crazy over the 4th weeksend but JD is a cure all. I do have a complaint--no one at Wally World told me we had to actually clean out new outdoor pool."**----Pictures up of the pool soon----after it is clean and after I stop lounging in it.  A little green and or glow in the dark water is not going to stop me from getting in the kool water.  Especially so when it is 100+ every day outside.  It is July and the desert and all.

I think it's a tie!

Mmmmm coffee!!

Does it defeat the purpose of this last picture--if I am now craving pizza??

Today Is A Day!

**I love walking on the beach with my wife, until the vodka wears off and I'm just dragging a stolen mannequin around a Wal-mart parking lot."**

**"I hope both teams loose the big game today!"** ;)----Out dated -but my total thoughts before the "big" super bowl this year.  I did watch bits of the game while at work, mostly because no one was out eating, they were all watching the game.  Or at least sucking down a lot of highly watered down beverages.  I can tell you that if you tell someone hours before a game-that you can tell them the score of the game, before the game starts--without a question of a doubt---after you take there cash, say the score is 0-0!   *Score before the game starts...   Forget it, things are never funny if you have to explain them.

**"You can not choose your family, but you can ignore there phone calls."**

**Some people are so poor all they have is money."**

And now a quick joke for your enjoyment!:

     THE MYSTIC
  1. >

In a dark and hazy room, peering into a crystal ball, the Mystic delivered grave news:
    > "There's no easy way to tell you this, so I'll just be blunt.
    > Prepare yourself to be a widow. Your husband will die a violent and horrible death this year."
    > Visibly shaken, Laura stared at the woman's lined face, then at the single flickering candle, then down at her hands.
    > She took a few deep breaths to compose herself and to stop her mind racing.
    > She simply had to know.
    > She met the Fortune Teller's gaze, steadied her voice and asked,
    > "Will I be acquitted?"

All the good slogans are already used !

**"I haven't got a Twitter account, so I just carry around a megaphone to announce what I'm doing at random times. So far I've got 3 followers - but I think 2 of them are cops."**---I don't like Twitter or anything about it really.  But the above might be a great new way to announce your status updates on Facebook also?
                                                                **Today is a day!"**

Was the above a blue print or your brain on Friday?   Fair warning to all of my customers, today is my Friday at work.  ;)

I NEVER am in support of any type of hurtful or deadly shootings.  In fact each new tradagy is a new reason to try and ban guns, and that should never happen.  I will have a whole blog post on my thoughts on this very soon.   But I am starting to understand why people just seem to snap more and more often.  This understanding is reinforced every time I leave the comforts of our home.  There is a whole movie about it, probably more than one--But I am thinking about the movie "Falling Down."   Were the main character gets stuck in grid lock traffic one fine day, notices none of the construction workers are actually working, and just snaps.  The rest of the movie is about this.  In fact near the end, he walks back onto the road construction sight, were no worker is still actually working, and fires a rocket launcher at them all.  *Spoiler alert*  This hurts, and it is not a recommend fix, by anyone accept maybe NRA life time members.
Let me pause, in my rants and sissy whining to explain just a little bit.  Last week my youngest  and I went to the local dreaded Wally World.  All Wally World's are evil, but this one I used to work at, and because of all of the Canadians and such, is always extremely busy.  Always!  Because of this we found a parking spot exactly a mile from the fartherst entrance.  I am in no way complaining about Canadians here, aye.  People here keep forgetting how huge an impact they have on our local community and most people are annoying in general.  Especially, no offence, Wally World shoppers.   The store does only thrive by selling cheap disposable crap to a disposable nation.  Before you complain to much, and try to tell me how great you personally are, how you only shop retail giants once a month, and usually buy local---I shop the store plenty.  To much in fact, we are trying to stop shopping there completely, but two things keep bringing us back. 1.)  The relatives keep giving our kids gift cards from the store and B.) The cheap disposable crap!
Anyways, you are thinking to much about throwing on your pj's and going shopping at Wally World--back to my story!  On this day I could not even get inside the store with out becoming overly annoyed.  As I said, we had parked so far away, that we walked past three other Wally Worlds!  As my son and I just got to the front door, a car zipped up and stopped in the fire lane.  Inches in front of us, blocking the door.  As I tried to non verbally explain in the air -to the driver-that she was in a cross walk--the passenger jumped out of the car, and started yelling at me.  I than yelled back that they were in a cross walk and shop-blocking us, so that we could not buy our cheap disposable crap!  The passenger than informed me that other people needed the cross walk also.   Deep but still not acceptable.
I than, very not nicely, or quietly, explained how it was the same as a cross walk downtown.  And that she could walk the 20 miles to the door like everyone else.  Maybe in fact needed to walk a great deal more.  I must note here that this "lady" was not elderly or disabled in any way.  "Stupidity is not a handicap."  At least that is what I am told every time I park my bicycle in the handicapped parking areas.  The other person had no reply and went into the store.  Hopefully to buy some condoms, so that she would never reproduce and raise what I lovingly call "doomed" kids.  Children that are destined for failure just because of there parents. ;)   I should have takin' this as a sign, and walked the half marathon trek back to our car.  But the cheap disposable crap was calling me.  And if I used that approach, I would never be able to buy anything.  Instances like the above seem to be the norm, every time I leave the house.
I do not have a solution for any of this.  We all need our cheap disposable crap!  All I am really saying here ---is that I can see why even the most normal people just snap one day.   And are on the evening news---standing on the local Wally World roof throwing slushies, GI-Joe's, and condoms down on the awed and angered crowd below.  Angered because the free show on the roof is mesmerizing, especially the more clothes the person starts to take off, but it is keeping them from buying more cheap disposable crap.  Add in a poor economy, life stressors, and a crazy president that hates America and these type of events are sadly going to happen more and more.
** I must add very quickly that I worked at Wally World for eight long years.  And my thoughts on the company are generally not good.  But while working there, we were lectured when we called any deal cheap.  It was "reasonably priced."   I personally got this lecture many times.  And this might be part of the reason I added "cheap" in this post so many times.   Thanks for reading!!**

4/18/2012

Tonight I start with my picture of the day.  A picture I actually took today!  This is on Commercial Street in downtown Bellingham a few blocks from the bay.  I was very disappointed to learn that the sign does not lead to a coffee shop anymore.  Not that there are not coffee joints every were around here.  I have learned that I am very near the obsessed point with coffee and items relating to it.  Especially after looking at past blogs and Facebook posts.   MANY seem to deal with the dark brew of the gods.  In fact entering coffee in the key word search for all my blogs brought up over 120 results.

**"It's always a great time for coffee!"**-------  I saw this on a sign in front of a coffee shop today.  Who'd of thunk!  Unfortunately my trusty camera was running out of juice, and I could not snap a shot of the sign.  This is not always true, but almost always.

Maybe it does not produce art, but this is a huge part of the processes for every blog  right there!

And now a brief rewind on the calender to Easter and this obvious victim....

A few things, now that you mentioned Easter.   We watched the movie Hop a few daze back, and it was highly entertaining.   Through watching possibly to much TV, I now offer a couple of pointers for those of you with children, you can borrow next year.   The first is to place eggs inside the prongs of a whisk and than dunk them in the food coloring.  It keeps the eggs in place and keeps every ones hands just flesh colored.  The 2nd is to take some of the many plastic eggs you have laying around the house,  fill them with rice crispy treats, leaving a hole in the middle.   Than place M & M's inside the crispy egg so they rattle when shakkin.

**"When I say I drive like lightning, it's not because I drive fast. It's because I hit a lot of trees."**---I could very well be a licenced driver again by next month.  So if you walk to work, learn how to run fast.

**"I was given 4 E’s and LSD last night…
What an awful start to a game of scrabble"**

**"I don't mind having a "kick me" note stuck on my back, but a "wash me" note, that really is mean ;)"**

Although I am on Facebook way to much, I personally can not stand Twitter.
I bet this guy made bank......

But you already all knew this!

I am working on actually being productive every day.  With my blogs and in most aspects of life.  But most of the time, this is my sign for sure.

Everything around is yelling out spring time.  And everyone loves it.  Unless you are an allergy suffer.    When the only reason your yard is green, is from all of the weeds blooming, you know it is spring time.   Or if your yard is allll yellow.   This yard is near Cornwall Park.  And all of the yellow is dandelions.

I had several firsts for the season any way in the last few weeks.   April and I went to the first farmers market downtown two Saturdays ago.   As always it was a great experience and a large portion of the town got to enjoy the sights and sounds and some sunshine.   More on that in a future blog.   I also mowed our lawn for the first time of the year.  I always enjoy the smells and little beads of sweat built up from the effort.   Once upon a time I had a lawn service called the Lawn Ranger.   And hope to be able to do something similar very soon.  Because if nothing else, I am a very good boss.   If I do say so myself.  On the topic of work, for any of you taking notes.  I have been making some cash off line from random jobs and selling items.  And I just applied at The Olive Garden today.   The last first of the season is my personal favorite.  We have enjoyed bbq food four times already this year.   This early in the year you also get to enjoy wind, rain, and some snow as you cook.
Burger King doesn't have anything on me.

With spring also comes my wife's birthday!   She once again turned 28 today.  When we repeat ages it makes it easier for me to recall!
April usually is in charge of every ones birthdays, so I was kind of nervous about taking control of everything for our little party.  Above is the cake, in case you didn't get the memo.

Here is Max thinking he is going to get some cake.

Here is Max after he learned he was not getting any cake.
.

                                                 Cheers!  to the birthday girl!

The bouncer and our bbq cook for the night

An effort to include and or emberas the in-laws all at one time.

And how you know it was a rockin party.....

My wife's new bumper sticker, now we just need to put getting a vehicle into overdrive.

So every time I get a little discouraged about life or things in general.  I have to say, here, this hasn't been a problem in awhile.  I am in a very good mind set and point in my life.  But for years people kept telling me that all life could do, was go up and get better from were I was.  And it just kept getting worse some how.  This went on for three years straight I think.  Anyways, stop distracting me.   When I get discourage I think of a homeless person that used to roam Bellingham.   He had three shopping carts full of his treasures.  He would spend his days pushing them around town.  Because one shouldn't be far from there treasures or loved ones.  Anyways, he would push one cart about two blocks up the sidewalk.  Go back and get his 2nd cart.  Push it up to the first.  And repeat till they were all lined up again, and than start over again.  He would not tie the carts together.  He kept busy and productive and was an amazing worker.  Although I am not sure what he was working for.  He also was very protective of his carts.   Get near him, and you could learn some new cuss words.  Get closer and you could learn some new fight moves, before he knocked you out.  I should have written a resume for him.  Although it wouldn't take long to catch back up with him, at his rate.   I am not sure if this gives you any inspiration at all, but just writing and picturing him makes me smile bigger.  And find comfort in the fact that even in the darkest times, there is hope.  And home really is were you are.

In closing I would like to ramble about a conversation I had the other night.   A few ex Wally World workers were talking about how many W's are in the last sentence.  We were talking about how Wally World used to offer shrinks to any workers that thought they needed them, at greatly reduced rates or roll backs.  BUT you had to go to a shrink picked by the box store giant.   I highly doubt that any doctor on there list could help anyone I know.   Even the people farthest from being nick named Loony Tunes!    And the two of us soon decided that we would be better to save our cash and ask online, what you the reader thought our problems were.   I do not have enough free time for you to list allll of my problems.    But kind of realized that is actually what I do in many a blog.   I vent and ramble and complain.  And it is amazingly calming for me.   I do the same thing on Facebook way to much also.   With the main difference being, you have to come to this page to read my thoughts.   They do not just appear on your screen like on Facebook.  You choose to click on this page, so your thoughts and input are very important to me.
