Ready, Set, Shop!

Although I find it very hard to believe it is already the 5th of December, I have to say our family is very ready for Santa to visit.  Mostly because my wife is a super shopper.   It is always nice to get the shopping done before the stores fill up with people greatly not in the Christmas spirit.  And every song on the retail radio network is a holiday song.   I think a little snow and finding a few of my favorite Christmas movies would completely put me in the spirit.

We only have Netflix right now, a service  I love, but I am finding it imposable to find a few of my favorite movies this time of year.  Two of them are --A Christmas Story--"Ralphie, you will shoot your eye out!"  I guess there is a 2nd story now, but I can't seem to imagine it being good at all.   And Christmas Vacation with Chevy Chase, when he was still skinny-ish, and funny.
Please don't forget to catch up on reading other posts in this blog.  My older ones seem to be much more entertaining.  And check out the many picture filled posts in my newest blog series--- http://exploreb-ham.blogspot.com/

I have been knocking Wally World a lot lately--with good reason.   But not all of our bad service is limited to this retail giant.   We have been getting beyond bad service all over town.   And I have a blog post in the works, just about the worse places!   Anyways above is a game you can play while in the store, you know your going to shop there--just saying you are done shopping there, does not work!

I am writing this post from Greys Harbor at the Star Bucks.  I know I talk smack about the coffee joint a lot, and there is much better coffee---but the stores are EVERY WERE and they offer free wi-fi.  New post coming about our mini-trip. Of course full of pictures.   But not today.  ;)  This is a quick coffee induced rambling for your enjoyment.   Partly because we are getting back on the road today to come home, and partly because I see actual sun shine outside!

I must pause here to complain about coffee just a lil bit.  My buddy hates to go to Starbucks because he complains about how the coffee makes his urine overly stink.  At first I wandered how he was close enough to the stream of pee to notice this.  But after him stating this revelation many times, I too now notice the same thing.  Starbucks, has a distint smell when brewing, while sipping, and while it is existing the body.  I have no real point to bringing this up, just thought I would share.  Plus I will now be able to recognize my male readers, while they are in the restroom, leaning in attempting to sniff there own urine.   ;)

**Christmas is coming up**

So they were just talking on the radio the other day about how researchers believe you can fix your relationship in one hour.   They are talking about long term relationships, that might have lost the spark a little or a lot.   Supposedly if you kiss for an hour straight, nothing else, get rid of the kiddos, TV, cell phone, and just kiss.  By the end of the hour, it gets your moter running, and your relationship is a lot like when you first meet.  At least for awhile.  I do not know who did this research, or how to sign up for it.  But have a sneaky suspision Chapstick might have funded the research.

Ever wanted to follow all the rules, but just didn't know what to do?

                                                                        Well OK than.....

Now the workers have something else to put on there resume!   My job description is just my name and a blank page.

Did you win that much also???
My wife and I would not tell anyone if we ever won.   Act normal, normal for us.  And than just disappear some were.   Some were even Google Earth could not find us.

10/20/2010

As we get ever closer to Halloween, I still do not know if I will be spending the night at work or at leisure, with our three kids, terrorizing the fair city of Fairhaven.  Some people might say, I am always wearing my Halloween mask!  I am trying to hold off buying my costume, until I know if I will be at work or not.  There are so many costumes that just are not appropriate while serving food somehow.  I did not ask for the night off, but it is my usual night off from work.  Sadly the newest work schedule, only posts what we work through the 28th of October, not helpful.   I hope to get some pictures at the Bay View Cemetery before Halloween.  With some gloomy shots to add to the days creepiness.  This should be easy to accomplish with the great weather turning to gray and rain.  I have been greatly slacking on taking pictures though.  And making new posts on both of my blogs.   Some how I don't feel like posting when I get off work at midnight.   Hopefully this will change soon.

Until I get motivated, please check out and share other posts in this blog series.  There are now over 300 to roam through.   And my newest blog series is always itching for new readers----
http://exploreb-ham.blogspot.com/       Enjoy ;)

This time of year you really do not have to ask what the weather will be like in the Great North West.  If you do ---you are new to the area and do not yet have your webbed feet!  You probably also carry an umbrella around.  True residents do not ever carry umbrella's.  I grew up in Wyoming were the report just says snow every day for about six months.   So compared rain is awesome!  If you are new to the North West above is the weather report from about October till May or so.

Don't forget your rubbers when it's wet.

What surprises me is how few people can drive when it is raining.   The other day everyone seemed to be going 45 MPH down I-5.  Except for the Canadians who were either driving 25 MPH or 88, Aye!   The first storm of the season washes around all of the oils and such on the roads, and it really is slick, but after that it is just rain folks.   Get used to it before the "snow" hits.   I put snow in comas, because we never really see that much snow here.

One can still accomplish some great hikes in the rain.   You just have to be prepared to come home soaked and watch your footing on the trail!

October also bring my wife and I to 7 years of knowing each other.  This is beyond a long time.   And even through the really bad times, I am thankful every day to wake up by her side.  Or at least in the same house, when we are fighting, and someone gets the couch.   I love her more every day  and fall in love with her again each and every day.   But that is the way it's supposed to be.   Hopefully she can say the same.   More about our "anniversary" adventures very soon.

**"The coffee is not kickin' in--hopefully it will before work!"**

Forget Starbucks, this is were I want to buy my coffee!!

Deep or not even close?

I have talked about the Aztec calender and how we are all supposed to die this December before.  What gets to me is how this was brought up alllll the time last year, and now that we are very close to the date--we never hear anything about our fate.   Since the end *Dec 22nd* is just before Christmas, I would like to know more ---because why waste all of that cash on presents, if we will not be alive to open them on Christmas day?

                                                    And lastly almost on topic.....
You could enjoy some great fruit punch at the same time!

                                                                  My size of coffee!!

**"I beat this guy racing on a green light today in our Buick! It really helped me out when he used the left turning lane to turn."**

            **"Why guys walk funny..

         1: They are injured
2: They are trying to un-stick their balls from their leg.

**"Ever had a girl friend who was cross eyed---and than had to dump her because she was seeing someone else?"**

And today's best sign award goes to.......

                                                                 And in 2nd place.......

**"I just watched my dog chase his tail for 10 minutes and thought, "Wow, dogs are easily entertained." Then I realized I just watched my dog chase his tail for 10 minutes..."**

**"It has been brought to my attention that the stick figure decals on the back windows of vehicles are NOT pedestrian "kill" scores, but, actually are meant to represent members of your family. I'll be removing mine asap to avoid any further confusion."**

**"Humans are the only creatures on Earth who cut down trees, makes paper from it and then writes "Save the Trees" on it."**

I never mastered chess.  Although I tried to learn it a few times.  About all I learned for sure, was that chess is nothing like checkers!

I got your nose, may be the best game ever!

This one kind of explains it all. :(
And I really don't know if it makes me want to laugh or cry.

Last week I wrote about how hard it is to find a pay phone, let alone one that actually works.  And about finding the set of encyclopedias.   Two more victims of "progress."   Destined to go the way of the 8 track and records.   Phone books are also supposed to not be printed anymore in the very near future.

I miss Calvin & Hobbes cartoons!

I had another job interview the other day Wish me luck on landing a server job or I will be applying at Wally World again next month.
I am really not sure how the first interview went.  I can say it was the first place that I applied, so getting on there would be mathematically amazing.  Signs both way surfaced in the interview.  And I really thought it was going well, until the hiring manager started doodling on my paper work.  I have never had that before, and apparently was boring the crap out of him?

Just had to share this picture!   I got my official copy in the mail amazingly quick.   Wahoo!   And if you live in Washington---stay off the sidewalks!

Parked beauty I saw the other day while roaming Bellingham.   This was on State Street.   Blog coming soon, about roaming down town.

Kudos to Mr Rob who bought us this car warming gift!  An Auto Coffee maker all the way from Hong Kong.  It plugs in the cars cigarette lighter.  And seems to work.  It will be coming with us next month when we go camping.

Max approves of the above product.  If only because it makes daddy happy!

And now it is time for today's picture of the day!

Last week we watched Davis Amusement set up at Bellis Fair Mall.  My wife's mother is working on the crew.  So we had a back stage pass of sorts.  It was actually pretty kool to watch.  Would have been way more fun to watch with a bag of pop corn though.   My wife has spent many hours with carnivals, and I thought this picture showed that well.
We will be attending as a family tomorrow night.  And I will surly have pictures and stories to tell.
And than on the night they pull down and move on, we are going to park near, with pop corn and watch the un-assembly.

You still have time to guess were my next exploring blog will be about.
So far---0 guesses!

I  have many, many blogs and changes in the works for both of my blogs.  And hope that
you all keep coming back and enjoying!    Please pass on the link if you like what you see.  And don't forget to check out my newest blog all about Bellingham and what to do and see here

Also please check out my new Facebook page.   With direct links to both of my blogs~

Have you ever noticed, every time you think your doing the right thing, your not in other peoples eyes?   Maybe you think your doing the smart thing.  Or the best thing at the moment.   Or you change your plans, move cross country yet again, out of pure love and it is still the wrong day your moving.  Wrong year, wrong day of the week in others eyes.   In most cases this would not bug me in the least.  I kind of enjoy ticking people off.   But when it is someone I can't live without, it stings and pulls on my heart strings.   I have had a rare almost un-sick feeling day today.  But since I have been told that my ideas are off base, I have felt like crap.  My body suddenly dosn't like me again.  I have plumeted in a deeply negative mind frame, locked up in my room, and I swear my chest hurts a little.  I am sure thats all in my imagination though.   Just like me being sick.   The docters can not find anything wrong, so I must not really be sick right?   Maybe in the last year, with my leaving and such, I have wronged the above person so much that I am feeling only sympathy pains?   Anyways, for what it's worth to the future Mrs Adams I am sorry for ruining a great day.  The day of the year it seems.  But once I am there for good we can make every day an awsome day.  For the rest of our lives.  I love you, forever and a day!   And although your bed shrunk, this is what I miss most:

Just staring at this picture has calmed me a ton.  It is an old picture, but us at our best.  Until maybe an outsider tries to paunder whom took the picture.  I am staying here for no one, beyond maybe my parents.   Dumb as it is, the time-line on the calander tweaked me out a little bit.  A cross country move, even for a party of one, is a huge process.   And the best day ever will be when I am holding you again, and can say I do.

**"It is always good to know your bosses real name----Just sayin''**

So everyone at work calls our boss by a certain name.   This is not her real name, and even after years of working with her, I guess I never have learned her real name, until today.   I answered the work phone, and the cheary sound secertariy asked for a worker I had never heard of before.  When I asked what the worker did, she said she was a manager at my company.  I said I had never heard of the worker, and asked if it was maybe this other name.  **This is hard to write without using actual names, I am finding out**  The secertary said that name sounded nothing like what the person she had talked to said.   At any rate, we only have one female manager, so I found her and gave boss the phone.   Later our boss came out of the office laughing, and stated that ******** really was her real name.    Just another case of me not getting the memo.

                                                 **"Coffee helps you poop!"**

In my last blog I explained the above quote, sentence, and or fact.  I also had the line up on my Facebook page a few days ago.  My great boss was very alarmed that I would post such a thing.  Because I would never find a girl friend, saying things like this.  Although this might lead me more to becoming a hermit than having 22 virgins it is actually one of my calmer posts.   I beleive people I know already know to ignore me for the most part.  Or at least not be to bothered by the things that come out of my mouth.   I have been recently told that I have diareaha of the mouth ,   this proably explains things best.   And like with many things in life, as long as I am entertained  thats all that really matters!  I have gotten way better about not saying every thought that crosses my mind though.  Unless I am drunk.

As I am sitting here watching the snow slowly fall outside, I am side tracked greatly.  Snow really is a beautiful sight.  Wheather it be in the middle of the night, or in the day backlight by the sun.  But with snow comes things that are far less fun.  Like ice and cold.  OK  I kind of enjoy ice.  After I learned how to drive on the ice, by wreaking my first car, I am now a good driver in the winter.  Or at least I used to be.  I have been in warmer climates for so long, I am not positive about this.
Just up the road a travel bus, flipped on the highway on some black ice.  You never hear about tour busses getting in wrecks it seems.  In fact it has been 27 years since this company has had an accident.  There is never a good time for a tradagy.  But the timing is extra alarming for me.  I was thinking about taking another Grayhound trip very soon.  Good thing I am now going for the faster, maybe not safer idea of flying now.   For all the airport security, I have never heard of a car plumiting 2700 feet to the Earth.  But on the same note, no stewerdess will bring me bags of nuts or bevereages while I am driving either.

I have talked about the joys of Netflix before.  Right now we do not have cable were I live just Netflix.  And I enjoy it a lot.  I enjoy it more, when no one else is home and I can veg out on the couch and watch what I want.   One of my roomies, is really into chick flicks.  Although she is a chick so it's understandable, I can't say that I enjoy most of her movie choices.    Anyways, while clicking the movie selection, I have lately wandered about the movie sub catagories.  It seems strange that the same movie can be under comedy selections and drama.   And some of the catagories just seem way off.   The only example I can think of right now, is the movie 8 mile being under, Mother/son movies.    He hates his mother in the movie and in real life.   But I guess she still is his mother like the catagory heading says.
