Day Dreaming About Dreams

Hello!   First I would like to thank you for coming back for a visit to my humble sight.   There are many posts here to roam through.  Full of random rambling, for sure.  ;)  Many times it turns out not to be all that random--because maybe I really do know what I am talking about--sometimes.  **I am not random, my brain just process things much faster than yours**   Whatever the case please take a look at some of my other posts---and enjoy!

Also my other blog series is full of pictures I have takin' and exploring.   Please take a look around   http://exploreb-ham.blogspot.com **

I have a ton of new pictures for both sights.   Like the one just below.

Your welcome!

Tonight I am going to talk about dreams.  We all have them, even those of us that live on caffeine have down moments sometimes when we actually fall asleep.  You can only tell those around you that you are merly checking your eye lids for holes/with your eyes shut so many times, especially if you are at work.  I do not recall most of my dreams.  As in by morning, I can usually not remember anything from my dreams.  Many dreams tell us things.   What they tell us is directly related by whom you share your dreams with.  For instance the meaning might become much deeper if you tell your shrink about your dream about licking the bottom of the above pictured boat compared to if you tell about the dream to your drinking buddies.  In turn if you tell me about your dreams I will make fun of you, and than try to include your story as my own in one of my blog posts.  Maybe the one talking about dreams?   Are you now trying to recall all of the sick/ twisted dreams you might have shared with me?  If you tell your dreams to your significant other it will most likely end up not coming out as glorious as your dream was, and probably end up in a long fight.  So unless you really really enjoy make up sex, do not wish to spend any cash on your gal this Valentines Day, or are prepared to video tape, and than send to me the unavoidable bad situations do not share any of your dreams with your partner.
Many dreams really do mean something.  After eight years of working in retail at a store that rhymes with "fall apart", and also just happens to be the name of a story I am working on-- I had a  rare dream that I remembered the next day.  I still remember it clearly.  In fact it lead to me quitting my job with the company.  I would say it stopped me from working there, but the actual work performance was reduced many years before this.  This all started out as a great dream.  And than like many--it went south fast.   Please let me re-cap now
My wife and I were working at the same Wally World store, which happens to be true, except we were not yet married at the time.  We had went to lunch together, away from the store, and upon driving back to work happily noticed that the store had been blown up.  I do not know the reason it had been exploded, but it was gone!   Complete with a huge whole in the ground and very black smoke all around.  We both got out of the car to explore, out of work, but very happy!
As we were in about the middle of the huge pile of ruble--- were the store used to sell underwear--- shoppers started to come out of the wreckage and as soon as they noticed our blue worker vests, try to ask us were store items were located!   I started to yell at the "shoppers."   Greatly angered that the store had been blown up, and these shoppers were worried about finding condoms and pickles or some other morbid combination of essentials.
As I said, I found the need to quit working with the company soon after ward.  So the dream did mean something to me.  Any time I think about going back to work for the retail giant, I recall this dream.   My wife had a similar experience.   Going back on the above advice I gave, I will tell it here.  And I hope to not end up sleeping on the couch because of sharing.
My wife had been working at the same store for awhile now, and was many days in charge of answering the phone.  Many times this lead to paging through the store to get other workers to answer the constant phone questions.  She had been doing this for many months.   One night she was over at my apartment and we were sitting on my couch, very late at night, talking a lot but really talking about nothing.  It was a new relationship for us, so I am sure the topics were lame and sappy.  Anyways, when I thought she was still awake--she started paging out for various workers to answer phone calls.   After I realized she really was asleep, and I stopped laughing, I moved so that I  could lay her down to sleep on the couch.
Although many dreams have a meaning  lastly I must share a dream I very recently had.  For the life of me, I can not find any reason to it.  Maybe you can help me?

I was in Seattle for some reason, more surprisingly I was by myself.  Roaming the city in the early AM, with a coffee cup in both hands.  Suddenly the ground began to really shake.  And I soon realized I was witnessing a very bad earth quake first hand.  Instead of people panicking all over the city, everyone around be started to dance.  Flash mob style.   And they were very happy about there highly coordinated and sycronized dance.   So happy that I even joined in on the dance.   I must say here that I do not dance.  The few times it has happened, my wife ran to the car to hide. And someone called 9-11, sure that I was having a seizure.

At some point the world stopped shaking and we were surrounded by news vans.  We all stopped dancing, and started to be very dramatic for all the cameras.

I hope all of this has made you want to share your dreams, with the right people.  Maybe it has made you wonder just a little.  Hopefully it has not made you start to wonder about me.  Enough people already do that.   ;)   Next post I will return with lots of jokes and such.  As always please share your thoughts and or hate for anything you read here.

KABOOM!!

  1. Fireworks Behind Statue of Liberty --- Image by © Creasource/Corbis © Corbis. All Rights Reserved.

I hope you and yours or just you and you if you happen to be single, have a great 4th today!  And that you have great fun, but not so much fun blowing things up that your co-workers will start calling you Stubby on the 5th of July.  We have a very busy day planned out.  And with one day to enjoy fireworks here, we are going to blow some stuff up for sure.   Some how while dating my wife for 7 years, her, the  kids, and I have never celebrated this holiday together.  I have had some great July 4th's in my life.  Many of them in the Bellingham area.  Many involving booze and shooting fireworks at others.   Cliff notes:  When a firework of any kind makes contact with the skin, it hurts!   Were is the safety warning that says that??   There will always be fireworks of some kind in Bellingham----if not the ones pictured above, from people with to much free time worried about fireworks annoying dogs, being to loud, and get this, ruining the sunset.  Faaa on you!  Is what I say to these truly un-patriotic "Americans.  Maybe they should dust off there history books.

So this is the first year I have done fireworks in several years.  Luckily we have been seeing more rain than heat here --or fireworks might be banned here this year.  One of the huge celebrations back home, in Wyoming--is canceled this year because much of the state and surrounding states are on fire.  In Arizona even mentioning fireworks is against the law!  But it is 120 outside, in the shade.  When I first moved there, I had lived in Washington before.   I had forgot about a trip to the reservations to get "real" fireworks, and that most of these were still in my pickup.   My wife and I were on a trip to Viva Las Vegas, and we would be passing over the Hoover Dam.  Because of 9-11 security is tight in the area, and they do random vehicle inspections.  Or they used to, now traffic does not even go over the dam.   On the way to the dam, I recalled I had many fireworks behind my truck seat.  We quickly decided to ditch them in the middle of the desert for some scorpions and lizards to play with.   With my luck our truck would have been searched and I would be stuck in some jail cell under the dam trying to explain my plot to blow up the dam with sparklers.

Last week I shared my thoughts on banning private fireworks.  You can read that at any time.  Cliff notes: I am against it!   My coffee has not fully kicked in, meaning my brain is still warming up.  So I will post more 4th of July stories in my next action void blog!   I will also be updating my other blog sight a ton in the next few weeks.   Please take a look around and let me know what you think so far.   http://exploreb-ham.blogspot.com/
Several of the future posts for this sight are going to be "published" on another sight.  I put published in quotes, because I am not sure how it counts as being published if it is on web sights.   How ever you count it, I am very happy it is going to happen.

Kaboom!   is very fun to yell!   There are lots of words that are fun to yell.  And this is one of them.  To add extra fun on this holiday, yell it while your buddy is perched over a firecracker, trying to light it, but ready to run.   Since 9-11 it is not the best thing to yell in many situations.  Like in the middle of a supermarket or when the border patrol comes up to your car before crossing into Canada, Aye!   Or if you are touring a home land security office.  Or if you are attending a parade today --do not yell Kaboom! as the retired vets march by.   I always try to be helpful in my posts!

So I posted the other day, that I was having trouble using spell check on here for some reason.  Just a note for all of those worried about spelling!   I have had people with to much free time, e mail me because a word was spelled wrong on one of my Craig's List ads.  And my brother is more than sure that if I use bad grammer on Facebook --- people will laugh at me.  More than they already do that is.  Have you read anything on FB?   The above is written awesome compared to most things on the sight.

I have mentioned before that my cooking skillz are almost non existent.  I can BBQ well, will be doing that today in fact.   But my wife see's me heading for the kitchen, and asks me to go sit down and watch TV.

Another type of celebration---at least for me, is that as of yesterday this blog hit 9000 views!!   Thank you all!

I am not going to enjoy some sunshine, family time, and blow some stuff up!

I have written about the "joys" of cell phones before.  So I will not touch on this to much today.  I guess I really did not understand my now dependence on the devises until my phone died.  I had sent my cell phone off to get fixed, and could still feel the vibration of a text message randomly.  Only to find myself checking an empty pocket, were my phone used to be.  I have to say that I text a lot.  And can even keep ahead of the strict boss at work, who doesn't allow cell phones, most of the time.  I would also like to say that I would like to take a week long trip, with no phones or computers.  But do not think I could pull myself that far from electronic devices.
In any case, this morning no ones cell phones were working at work.  Including any customers.  This only last about two hours.   But the workers did not seem to know what to do and were roaming around trying to find  a spot in the building were the phones would work.  With a nation so dependant on cell phones, and instant contact with others, how many people would go crazy if a satellite or two fell out of orbit tomorrow?   OK, go more crazy.

This all makes me think of Steven Kings "Cell"  Mr King seems to ruin a lot of things for me   from old cars to clowns, and defiantly motel rooms.  In this novel everyone on a cell phone is instantly a zombie of sorts controlled by radio waves coming from cell phone towers.   The mass group of non effected normal people left, are senior citizens and young kids.   Basically anyone without a cell phone is left to try and save the Earth as we know it.  This makes you stop and wander about a few things.   First-- with this new threat, do we really need to worry about getting cancer from our cell phones?  Was this a threat before 9-11?   What did this to do the affected peoples calling plan prices?   Is there anything left beyond paper clips that Steven King can write about and still make it sound super scary?
So phone calls used to be more fun in Sheridan, before caller ID.   And I hate to say I have been involved in many a phone prank, and or enjoyed most of them.  Now if you attempt one, the angry person just looks up your number on caller ID and calls you back.  Usually yelling.  This proves that there is no secercy anymore.  It also might prove that many people do not have a good sense of humor.  I tend to prove the second theory daily.  But only when I speak.    If I have called you in my past, and you did not laugh, I can assure you that I did laugh.  And that I am now very sorry for of taking up your time.   Some of my proudest moments are when I make telemarketers want to hang up on me.    With a last name like Adams, I am always sure it is a telemarketer, if they stumble over my last name.  And yes it has happened a few times.

**"Do you add an area code first  when dialing 911 here?"**

If you have not yet checked out  http://www.thepeopleofwalmart.com/       please do so.   You well see some the most fine dressed individuals around for sure!   Heck you might even see yourself!   I can not assure you that you will not want to wash your eyes out with bleach and or poke out your minds eye with a spoon afterwards though.

And now a few pictures of mine.

I went to Big Horn school.   For better or worse, I was a might Big Horn Ram.   *Not a snotty nosed bitty!   And a Bighornian for sure.   Anyways recently they tore down the old school, it really wasn't all that old, and built a massive building.   I toured the new school last summer, and have to say I wasn't impressed at all.   All of the rooms and hallways looked the same.   But whatever floats the school board officials boats.   This is a picture of the entrance near the gym.  Not even this stands now.

Morning in Seattle.    I hope to have some new pictures from the great north west very soon.  Because if nothing else I miss all  the water and coffee shops.   I have so many pictures of the bay line all up and down Washington.  And have to say, taking them still has not grown old.

Storms coming in.     I have also recently become fascinated in taking pictures of clouds.   And trees.  I could fill a whole blog in pictures of neat clouds.   In fact I might to just that on a day when I can't think how to fill a blog.

One of my favorite snow  pictures I have takin'    In Bellingham, WA.   For the area this is a big snow storm. And when they get three inches of snow, they close all the schools.

Snow is so rare there, the people pass out in the snow.   And might not be found till spring time.
